FFX|X-2 HD Remaster Language Settings

Hi everyone,

We noticed there’s a little confusion as to which languages would be available in which regions.

Well we’re happy to confirm that all available languages will be playable in all territories!

A launcher at the start of the game will allow you to select one of the following language setups:
*Audio is restricted depending on the language setting*

• Text: Japanese / Korean / Traditional Chinese WITH Voice: Japanese
• Text: English / French / Italian / German / Spanish WITH Voice: English

We know a lot of you have been asking whether there are dual audio options but unfortunately due to technical reasons, we’re not able to include dual audio in FFX|X-2 HD Remaster.

What we have done to enhance the Steam version of FFX|X-2 HD Remaster is add a bunch of unique gameplay bonuses and graphical settings so this is the same game(s) we all know and love with some really cool extras!

We really hope you’re looking forward to your (re)adventures in Spira!

Disclaimer: I have beaten Final Fantasy X, but not Final Fantasy X-2.

Now that that's out of the way, let's get to the review.

Before it came out for PC, I've never really given it much thought. I saw that it released two games in one package priced at thirty bucks, so I did some research on the two games. Turns out a lot of people loved the FFX, but dislike FFX-2. I got the game(s) and booted it up.

I played the first game and I was almost immediately hooked. This was actually my first Final Fantasy game I've played and let me tell you; I want to play all the FF games now. The story's amazing. Characters were good and some were just amazing. I am a very stoic person and there were two times in the story when I sheded a tear.

Now for X-2.

I did play some of it, but only got to chapter two. The game was okay, but it was so different from the first one. Perhaps if it was a stand alone game with a somewhat different story it would've fared better. I simply couldn't get used to the battle system and I just quit the game. I really wanted to like the game, but I wasn't enjoying myself. I still wanted to know the story so I just watched some YouTube videos of FFX-2 gameplay to get caught up. I know about the ending(s).

Now what do I rate the games?

FFX: 10/10
FFX-2: 5/10

Even though I was admittedly disappointed with FFX-2, the bundle was well worth the thirty dollars. I would've payed thirty bucks just for the FFX alone. As a first time Final Fantasy player, I want to play more games from the series. I'm keeping up with the FFVII remake and the new FFXV. I truly did enjoy Final Fantasy X.

Leave in the comments which FF game you all recommend.

Final Fantasy X destroyed me in every single way, especially emotionally. And it destroys me all over again every time I watch the ending or listen to 'To Zanarkand'. It will always be number one for me.
Seriously, I love this game so much I can't even handle it anymore, so I had to make a review.
It has absolutely everything: good characters (I can't believe how many people hate Tidus, but it's probably because they never finished the game so I kinda get it. His character development is amazing and I am not ashamed to say he is my favourite FF character ever.), awesome story, AMAZING soundtrack, good battle system, and the graphics are also nice. Every FF, or even RPG fan should give it a try.
The port is also very good, haven't had any problems with it.
I'm so happy it got released on Steam. Actually, I'm happy this game exists. It's more than just a game to me - it's a part of me. I wish I could erase my memories of it and then play it all over again.
I like a lot of games, but this one I absolutely adore. It has a special place in my heart.
Give this game a chance. It's definitely worth it.

FFX Review

A game I started over a decade ago on PS2, I have finally finished on PC! And its sequel FFX-2. This is maybe the most vibrant and colourful game I’ve played on PC. The colours really stand out and help add to the fantasy element.

I liked the story and environments in this one, a nice tropical summery atmosphere, like it feels nostalgic playing it….like I would feel that way anyway, but also like one of those memories you might have, of like that great summer with friends when you all stopped Sin from killing everyone every decade, and managed to bring the eternal calm. I mean that was a particularly good summer.

For someone like me this remaster is great, I really love the game boosters for this, where you can give yourself as much money as you want, the auto battle system and the ability to speed up time. I’m sure purists might hate that, but f*ck grinding, you can grind using these boosters in a quarter of the time it would normally take, although if that’s how you play the game the whole way through you will get stuck at the end. It’s important to know the battle systems and how they work or you’re gonna have a tough time when it comes to the end bosses.

Also Blitzball…wtf, dude I still suck at it *shakes head* I’m sure I could eventually master this mini game, but they messed up the starting difficulty on that one, and I couldn’t be bothered to see it through, I wasn’t enjoying playing it, and it wasn’t worth my time just for the achievements.

This is a really good remaster of a classic game, I think every RPG should have those boosters, or just not make you grind like a motherf*cker. The game is locked to 30fps, honestly, for turn based RPG’s it’s fine for me, 60fps doesn’t add that much to this kinda gameplay, so I was happy enough with the performance.

FFX-2 Review

What did they do! WHAT DID THEY EVEN DO! So the first 10 to 15 hours of this game are really horrible. Tonally it seems totally off. It makes sense from a story perspective I guess, in that in the last game they had won, so when you start out with Yuna, Rikku and new girl Paine, for some reason they have formed a band and sing at concerts. The story gets better and serious after those first 10 hours though, so if you stick with it past the horrible reintroduction, it becomes a lot less stupid and light hearted, and there are stakes again later on.

Yuna for some reason now uses guns. In the first FFX Yuna was a summoner who could call up Aeons that are like these mythical creatures that can fight for her. For story reasons she is unable to do that in FFX-2, so instead they added this dressphere system, where they combined the abilities the Aeons had in the first game with the costume you wear in this one. Two of the costumes Yuna wears are gun related ones. I never got used to Yuna using guns throughout the game, I found that sh*t really jarring with how her character was and acted in the first game.

I actually liked the battle system in FFX-2 more than the first one though, they added an active battle system (you can set it to revert back to the original system if you want). The boss fights also seemed more balanced and easier than in FFX. To be honest I auto battled throughout most of the second game lol It only took me like 27 – 30 hours to finish the second game by doing that. In fact I only stuck with it to see how the story played out. Then again I’m more of a story centric RPG person, so if you are into turn based fighting there is a lot to like about the system used in FFX-2.

Most of the areas are all just reused from FFX, there were a lot of tedious puzzles you had to do in FFX, thankfully you don’t have to redo them, but there’s these annoying piano puzzles at the end of the game that I watched a youtube video to get passed (if you fail the piano puzzle you have to fight a monster for 20 or 30 minutes, and you might not even win the fight, so you need to really complete the puzzle to have an easy time)

X-2 Last Mission

There’s actually a third mini game included in the remaster called X-2 Last mission, which plays like a roguelike game. I played the first level of it and lost my gun and died. I restarted it and I still had no gun and was killed….so yeah, don’t think I’ll be playing that. There’s apparently 100 randomly generated levels for it though (you have to make you way up the building to get a prize or find out a secret or something)

Overall, for the amount of content you get in this remaster it is worth the price and then some, granted I probably wouldn’t have bought FFX-2 or the mini game on their own, but they are nice to have all the same.

Final Fantasy X is so much fun , what an amazing story. You get sucked right in. The price tag was worth the experiance to play this game. X-2 also comes with this game, and I gave it an honest effort. Made past the first chapter and I can not handle playing anymore. The girls just wanna have fun version of X just cant grab me. I want to collect the sphears and see what happens to Tidus but it's not worth it. Will probably just watch cut scenes on youtube to ease my curiosity.
