Over 10 Million Bombs Served

Since the launch of the game in October there have been more than 10 million attempts to defuse a bomb in Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes. Around 4 million of those attempts were successful! The other 6 million... not so much. Regardless, 31 million modules have been disarmed successfully and that's something to be proud of!

When Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes started out as a small prototype game a little over two years ago we could not imagine that it could grow to reach so many people. We're honoured to have great fans like you!

Happy defusing!

About This Game

In Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, one player is trapped in a virtual room with a ticking time bomb they must defuse. The other players are the “Experts” who must give the instructions to defuse the bomb by deciphering the information found in the bomb defusal manual. But there’s a catch: the experts can’t see the bomb, so everyone will need to talk it out – fast!

Rounds are fast-paced, tense, occasionally silly, and almost always loud. Everybody has a role to play whether they are defusing the bomb or not. Swap out between rounds and share the experience with all of your friends!

Puzzle solving and communication skills - and maybe a few friendships - will be put to the test as players race to defuse bombs while communicating quickly, clearly, and effectively.

Features

  • Challenging puzzles that will test the limits of your communication skills… and friendships?
  • A different bomb every time! Procedurally generated puzzles keep the action fresh.
  • Local multiplayer party game – A great way to experience VR with all of your friends at the same time!
  • Only one copy of the game needed! If you can talk to the bomb defuser, you can be their expert! Try using your favorite voice chat service and playing remotely.

The bomb defusal manual is freely available at http://www.bombmanual.com and can be printed or viewed on a tablet or any other web-enabled device.

Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is a 2-4 player party game. There are two roles one person is the bomb defuser the other is the manual operator. The manual operator usually is done by one person but could be used by a few so this game has an endless amount of how many players you can have. The object is the player defusing the bomb cannot see the manual to see how to defuse it and the manual operator cannot see the bomb. The two must work together and communicate what they see so they can defuse the bomb before the timer goes. The bomb can have a variety of modules that each differ in difficulty. The bomb can have strikes where you can make some mistakes but if you make one the timer will speed up. Some bombs have only 1 meaning 1 mistake game over. Now for some Pros and Cons.

PROS:

- Very fun casual game to play with friends or even a significant other.

- Has a bunch of different missions you can do that slowly increase in difficulty.

- You can even do a customized bomb where you can pick how many modules you have on it and how many strikes etc.

- The module can be printed off on paper for a physical copy.

- Offers VR Support for the bomb defuser.

- Can be a good communication exercise among couples.

Neutral:

- Can cause fighting between the defuser and manual operator

- Might ruin friendships.

- Can get very stressful.

CONS:

- The game can eventually get boring once you've done everything.

- Can get repetitive.

Conclusion: Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes is a fun party game and is worth picking up but in my opinion it'd be best to pick it up when it comes on sale. As it does not seem worth the $16.99 (CAD) price tag its a fun game but compared to other games that are similar in price it does not have enough in there to be worth that much. Overall its a good game that I can recommend.

This game is a lot like homework. You can study hard and do it all by yourself... or you can get someone else to do it for you. In other words, you can know nothing and still manage to succeed... with 0.02 seconds left.

Great concept, great execution. It's really easy to get started, and you instantly get better at it. It has just the right amount of challenge and introduces new puzzles at the right time.
I'm pretty sure it's great to play with just about anyone, even non-gamers.

This is the complete definition of "easy to learn, hard to master." Worth every penny on sale or not. Great quick party game to play with people in the same room and if your friends are across the country, jump on skype and it's just as much fun!

This game is even better than I thought it would be. My boyfriend and I are separated by long distance, and we each got a copy of this game so we could play back and forth diffusing bombs. It is such an amazing connector for us. The pace is fast and extremely stressful in the best way possible (I even accidentally gave myself a stress headache last time we played). It never gets old either, even though theres a limited set of puzzles you could have, they always prove to be difficult with plenty of misunderstandings. I completely recommend this game for everyone, especially friends who think they are extremely close and want to test out their communication skills.

Great party game. Easy enough that my 9yo was also able wear a Vive headset and disarm the bomb with the rest of the family. The premise is simple enough, and even people who aren't super into video games can play both the defuser and manual-reader roles.

This game is 100% one of my favorite games in my whole library! The number one reason i like this games co-op gameplay is that if you know someone that has the game or you do and none of your friends do you can still play with them because they don't need the game to be bomb expert. 20/10 Would buy again.
