About This Game

What happens when DLC practices go too far? An indie developer makes a game that mocks the industry and its foibles, that's what! Defeat the bad guy, save the world and get the girl! But first you'll need to find coins to buy DLC to enable animation, sound and even pausing.

Thankfully this is just satire and all the DLC is purchased with in-game coins. But consider it a cautionary tale for the future...

A silly little game about how DLC costs for everything..from moving to jumping in this game. This whole game is a satire about such things in real life..

It is really short game, but fun. I recommend just to have fun with it. Also, for the achievements, this game is quite easy to get them...

>looking to pick up a copy of DLC Quest
>grab the game and take it to the charming maiden at the register
>"Pardon me, milady...but could you ring me up? A shame I don't have your number or I'd ring you up instead..."

>"Wow, I've never seen anyone buy this before! You must have special taste!"
>I smile and ready a witty response when suddenly a voice rings out from behind

DLC Quest is an amusing game that rightly pokes fun at the gaming industry while at the same time being a genuinely fun platformer.

The game is divided into two parts. First part is easy and won't really challenge too much, except maybe finding all the hidden items. The second part has a moderate challenge that adds wall-jumping (which Player must earn by getting the DLC), spikes and a hilarious ending. It's great to play a game that makes you laugh most of the way through. Also, for 100% achievement hunters, this game's list of achievements is short and reasonable.

Perhaps not worth full price since the playing time is about 3 hours, but recommended whenever on sale.

EDIT: changed "The game is broken" to "The game is divided" ...

Fantastic game, enjoyed it a lot.
I recommend this game to anyone that like humor and satiric jokes, the game represents what big companies are like nowadays which is sad.

9.8/10 - Excellent
0.2 deduction for the hardcore last 2 achievements.

O.K. I HAVE STRUGGLED to do the two timed challenges. After looking up multiple videos, AND FAILING TO REPRODUCE, I figured out that it WAS possible to do them EASILY by taking your time on a run-through and seeing what can be done, and how it can be done. THIS IS AN AWESOME GAME. WEAREGOINGLOUD IS GREAT!!!! I RECCOMEND THIS PUNNY GAME TO EVERYONE!!!!

It's amusing, and is a good commentary, but it's just a bit too thin for me to recommend. Reminded me of Unepic, but not up to that. DLC Quest is price appropriately though. With more both content and depth, I'd recommend it at double the price. If you just want to play a joke that you'll probably get everything out of it you are going to in 1 medium or 2 short sittings, then you maybe should get this.
