Rust is a game for clans. Solo playing is either not possible or not fun. If you try to play solo, you'll be out numbered by a clan of trolls within a week. It takes forever just to get the basics, especially solo. Server wipes are a joke, because hard-core Rust players will dump 12 hours non-stop on the day of the wipe. I personally cannot justify doing that & having to dump insane hours daily just to stay relevant in the game is more a chore than fun. The amount of time and effort required when solo is just not worth it. Success in this game is purely down to how much time you invest in it, so it will be dominated by either large clans, or people who have no job & just play games all day.

So you're probably saying, "well, just form a clan".

Rust is not a good game to make friends. You CAN make friends, but its long punishing trials to do it. A typical rust conversation in-game is "Hello, hows it going?" and then taking a bullet to the head. The average players are immature trolls & only seem interested in communicating to be abusive rather than friendly competition or teamwork. You would have to be willing to die & be trolled over a dozen times, just to meet half decent human beings in this game. That was definitely my experience. With that said, the best way to form a group, is to form one outside of the game ahead of time.

But if your group is not covering your base in shifts so that it is protected 24/7, then either a larger clan that has the man-power to patrol in 24 hour shifts, will out-perform you; or a tiny band of losers with no jobs will. Games should be fun, not chores.

But this leads me to the final issue. Even playing this with a group & managing a few bases, it honestly got rather boring because you just run out of things to do, presumably because it's still "early access". So in it's current state, it isn't worth $20. Luckily I picked this up on sale for $10, so not much of a loss.

I will give this game a chance to improve with time and review again after. But in the meantime I will not play vanilla servers & will only play with a group of 5+ in different time zones. I recommend if you already own this game, that you explore mods cause vanilla isn't worth the effort.

Unless you're playing with friends just forget this. Everyone and I mean everyone will shoot you on sight with no questions asked. Sure the game is about survival but other players make it impossible to play it alone.

Rust.

So, I've got a lot of hours on Rust, mainly from just running around as a naked player. It's pretty impossible to play the game unless you have a group. You have people with guns in their base just KOSing players and sometimes..they even come out to kill you. No matter who you are, what you have, they all require blood and death.

Rust = Base Wars

The OLDER version of Rust, was better in my opinion, was able to actually get stuff done.

Rust is just a Deathmatch with Base Building.

If I could refund this game for what it has become, I would definitely do that.

Rust is a sandbox online survival game , where your main and only objective is to survive by various ways. Like: crafting weapons, and by forming an alliance. There are many people playing this game daily and for the first sight I must declare: don't play this game if you are a rage-quitter. You will start (most of the times) with a stone and a torch at the beginning. If you level up you can craft or build more things. This game has been made by the creators of Garry's Mod. When you log off and start the game again in a different or the same server, your stats will reset. So if you were level 11 you will start the server again, with the level you was at the begin.

The game is amazing, I already died in the first 3 minutes of playing this game. After reading a guild for beginners I finally understood the purpose of surviving the game: git gud. So I hitted a tree with my stone for gathering wood to build a spear. By hitting the tree you can get 10 woods and some xp to level up. With 300 woods you can craft a spear. When I was finished with crafting my spear, I tried to make a wooden house. But when I was heading towards a tree, I saw a lonely bear and thought that I could beat him for meat. The bear killed me instead like it was nothing. The only thing that unfortunate is of the game is that the devs aren't working anymore on the plans they had shown for like a year ago, like: modular cars and mountable horses.

After a few times of dying in Rust, I was finally ready to beat down some people. I had a house nearby a river, many food, some clothes, and some serious weapons: like a bow. I hunted down a few people and raided some bases. When I was at the top of a mountain in Rust I heard some gunshots nearby from the place I was. I started thinking in myself, shall I head back to my house. So I headed back to my house and saw someone heavily armed running after an animal. I followed him and when he hunted down the animal, I took my bow and tried to aim for his head. But the arrow was shot on his body, he turned in my direction, took his gun and shot me a few times until I was dead.

My impressions of the game.

The game is fun, but only if you know the game more than you did in the first time playing. The game has good graphics and good sound. The chat can be somehow annoying and somehow funny.

Pros

- The game is fun
- Many weapons to craft
- Different things to build
- Different clothes to craft
- Open World
- Supply drops by planes
- Has trading cards
- Good graphics
- Good sound

Cons

- No achievements
- No clothes at begin
- Most of the times no mercy
- Hard game for beginners
- The developers don't spent anymore time about making their beloved plans

The game is nice and I would recommend you the game, except if you are a rage quitter and will stop playing this game because of dying too much in the game.

ok first that trailer i bs your first day is going to be spawn get killed spawn get killed spawn get killed, but when you start to get good at the game its really fun building cool bases, and joining/making big clans, raiding and meeting the most random and hilarious players. Its just the start that is very slow. Its a big YES for me!

Holy sh*t, people do not understand the concept of Rust. You buy this game go into a non-friendly server and expect to not get killed? No. Learn from the mistakes, learn from the death, and learn not to trust people to quickly. Rust is a good concept of consrtucting and raiding. Though there a limited of guns, there are endless of ways to build your castle. If youre naked, dont expect someone to help you. Though there are few people that will help you, most of them will just kill you n try to loot your stuff. That's the concept of Rust. Best to play with a friend or find someone you can trust. Enjoy this game :)

If your looking for a game review you've come to the wrong place, but if your looking for an outstanding pie recipe you've come to the right place.

Ingredients:
1. 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
2. 1/2 cup white sugar
3. 1/2 cup brown sugar
4. 1/4 cup water
5. 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
6. 1 pinch salt
7. 5 apples - peeled, cored and sliced
8. 1 pastry for double-crust pie

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
2. Combine butter, white sugar, brown sugar, water, cinnamon, and salt in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and set aside.
3. Roll out half the pastry to fit a 9-inch pie plate. Place bottom crust in pie plate; pour in apple slices.
4. Roll out top crust into a 10-inch circle. Cut into 8 (1-inch) wide strips with a sharp paring knife or pastry wheel. Weave the pastry strips, one at a time, into a lattice pattern. Fold the ends of the lattice strips under the edge of the bottom crust and crimp to seal.
5. Pour butter-sugar mixture over top of pie, coating the lattice, and allowing any remaining sauce to drizzle through the crust.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), and bake until the crust is golden brown, the caramel on the top crust is set, and the apple filling is bubbling, 35 to 40 more minutes. Allow to cool completely before slicing.

Eat.

Simply this game is alot of fun! But the down side is that you need a group of 3 or more.
The dev's are always updating the game (Thursday's) They've been adding alot of things like adding new guns balancing the game alot. Adding, nerfing, and buffing. Big clan battles, once me and my friends had a 10 v 12 raid and the heli came in, middle of battle.
First thing to do in Rust
>Click to wake up.
>Pull out your rock start to beat up other rocks for looking differant.
>Make a Stone Pickaxe/Hatchet.
>Hit more rocks for look differant and hit tree's.
>Make a little ♥♥♥♥ shack, defend from other kids with spears.
>Make metal tools, keep upgrading.
>Make a bigger base, make enemies.
>Raid those enemies.
>Wait a month to the dev's to wipe all the servers. (Per Month depending on the server you're on)
