About This Game

Super Meat Boy is a tough as nails platformer where you play as an animated cube of meat who's trying to save his girlfriend (who happens to be made of bandages) from an evil fetus in a jar wearing a tux.

Our meaty hero will leap from walls, over seas of buzz saws, through crumbling caves and pools of old needles. Sacrificing his own well being to save his damsel in distress. Super Meat Boy brings the old school difficulty of classic NES titles like Mega Man 2, Ghost and Goblins and Super Mario Bros. 2 (The Japanese one) and stream lines them down to the essential no BS straight forward twitch reflex platforming.

Ramping up in difficulty from hard to soul crushing SMB will drag Meat boy though haunted hospitals, salt factories and even hell itself. And if 300+ single player levels weren't enough SMB also throws in epic boss fights, a level editor and tons of unlock able secrets, warp zones and hidden characters.
  • Story mode, featuring over 300 levels spanning 5+ chapters
  • Play as a Head Crab! (Steam Exclusive)
  • 33 legitimate Achievements
  • Warp zones that will warp you into other games
  • Over 16 unlockable able and playable characters from popular indie titles such as, Minecraft, Bit.Trip, VVVVVV and Machinarium
  • Epic Boss fights
  • Full Level Editor and Level Portal (January 2011)
  • A story so moving you will cry yourself to sleep for the rest of your life

I purchased this game with "I'm going to get everything and anything in this."
I decided to nope that idea after missing one annoying bandage in Chapter 2.
I have every single achievevement now.
I think this is the best game I ever completed. I had so much fun, even with all the pain and time the "Boy" Achievements took.
A hard game needs to be engaging. And knowing how hard this game is yet still opening it on a regular basis when coming home with completeion in mind, Is amazing.
This is one of the best games in terms of controls and mechanics ever. I feel so involved and so responsible for what's happening, And knowing I make the mistaked and not any RNG element, Is amazing. I develop a plan and this basically turns into a bomb-defusing puzzle of meat: I make one mistake on my set route, I die. And that's ok since I'm instantly ready to try again.

There is no reason not to buy this game if you have an ability to launch it.
There is no reason not to complete the game if you are a great gamer.
There is no spoon there is only #Weet

Thank you Team Meat for this masterpiece. I will never look at a bandage the same way.

Possibly the best game I've ever played in my entire life, a Platform that can reach the same levels of quality of Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World, and that's saying something!
Super Meat Boy is a fast paced platformer where you'll have to complete hundreds of short, ultra-difficult levels with no ability other than being able to run and wall-jump. It's plafrotming to its finest as it relies on it level design alone without any other move or special ability to use, that's why the levels really need to be spot-on for the game to be enjoyable, and they are!
All the stages are incredibly creative and different from eachother, also the "blocky" graphics with the simple color palette manages to give an incredibly retro feel to the game, the stellar sountrack is also pretty memorable and you'll probably start humming the stages' tunes if they'll ever come to your mind.

If you like Platform games Super Meat Boy is a must-have, give the game's really high difficulty it's not a game suited for beginners; while you may be stuck for hours on a single stage being able to complete a world's level in any order helps you in not getting frustrated, also the feeling of beating a level that made you go crazy is just AMAZING!
So what are you waiting for? Go play this game right now! You won't regret it!

Super Meat Boy is a fast paced, very challenging platforming game.

It centers around meat boy who tries to rescue his girlfriend(band-aid girl), from his nemesis Dr. Fetus.

The music is great accompanying the levels, respawns are fast, and the games runs perfectly.

I recommend Super Meat Boy to fans of platformers ON or OFF sale.

Super Meat Boy is a work of art. The superb way every attack forces you to calculate jumps perfectly, the many varied levels with hunderds of unique designs, everything comes together to make what is certainly the greatest indie game, controller endurance testing program, and rage-maker of 2014?
