Judging Criteria
- Two awards will be issued on each judging day: the first from a cumulative score of the judging criteria, and the second as a "participation" prize.
- Each criteria is given a score from 1 to 10.
- The participation category does not count towards the cumulative score.
- Objective Day (Cumulative)
- Depth: Deepest spot in beard perpendicular to the skin
- Length: A hair shall be plucked or cut from the beard and extended to its full length.
- Height: As proportion of total head height, the distance between jaw line and top of beard under the eye socket and cheek bone.
- Coverage: Judged event based on the amount of beard covering the face (points deducted for
patchy or sparsely covered spots)
- Absorbency: How much water will the beard absorb?
- Ferality: Judged event, how feral is the beard?
- Objective Day (Participation Prize)
- Mangiest Beard: Which beard looks most infected with the mange?
- Flair Day (Cumulative, all criteria judged)
- Originality: most creative or different beard design
- Craftsmanship: best trim, symmetry, and technique
- Best Integration of Beard and Outfit: Dressing up is allowed
- Best Overall: Judges favorite beard
- Flair Day (Participation Prize)
