I was worried about my computer's power cord which came straight out of the side of the laptop. I could see the beginnings of cord stress as well as the potential breaking of the tip during normal usage. This 90 degree adapter does the trick. The plugs fit snugly. My only beef is the "shipping" charge was $4.99 for something that little and light.

Fits my Toshiba power supply nicely

I have a power hungry i7 Toshiba P70 notebook. The power input on the right hand side and forces a right angle bend on the power adapter connector. I was worried about the strain on the connector and wanted a right angle bend. The power supply that the laptop uses is the PA5083U-1ACA. I did read one review that talked about the part getting hot and this did worry me. I did not find this to be true, even with my heavy duty notebook pulling over 6 amps. The device has a good fit just like the original power adapter connector.

Fits my Toshiba

This adapter fits my Toshiba Satellite P55 perfectly and allows the machine to fit in my work space more easily, reducing the clearance required at the top left corner by about 1.5 inches. The power cord can also be adjusted vertically, providing additional flexibility. The $4.99 shipping charge for this tiny item—almost twice the item cost—is unreasonable, however. I would have ordered a spare except that $4.99 to put a second one in the envelope seemed totally unjustified. Minus one star for that.

Gets the power cord out of the way!

I bought this for a laptop that I actually use ON my lap. Sometimes it's even on my stomach as I loaf on the couch. The power port on this laptop is on the side and I was constantly catching my hand or arm on the power cord sticking out the side and usually unplugging it. By redirecting the power connector and cord toward the rear of the laptop, this little adapter has solved that issue almost entirely. It still sticks out a little but, not nearly as much as without it. I might put a little tab of velcro on it to keep it attached to the laptop but, so far, I haven't needed to.

perfect fit, it took me a little while to figure out exaxtly what to physical demensions were on my laptop,
the "demensions" are what you need when purchasing an adapter, NOT the model # of the Lap Top.
as in The outside of your existing plug is 5.5 mm / & the inner hole accepts a 2.5 mm pin (drill bit)
I used drill bits to calculate the size of my adapter / & 1mm=0.039 inch / 1/16 inch = 0.062 thousanthsinch / 3/32 = about 0.095 thousanths
so, 2mm = about 0.089 thousanths inch, a little under 3/32 Inch drill bit
