You get what you pay for. Mine stopped working after 1 month of use.

I bought two of these so I could plug in my laptop in different parts of my home. Both of them have simply stopped working. One stopping might be an anomaly, but since both of them stopped working, I can only conclude that this is a product of extremely poor quality. Seek another brand.

This product would be a good replacement charger. There were a couple of things I didn't like: 1) The cord is considerably shorter than the Dell cord was. 2) It's a three prong cord instead of being a two prong cord like the Dell charger was. (We only have 2 prong outlets in our house, so that is the reason that this was a turnoff. If you have a newer house or have three prong outlets in your house, this shouldn't be a problem.) Other than that, it works great! Only time will tell if it will last longer than our Dell charger did. Oh, and I should also note that the box thing is bigger than the Dell one was, but is still portable if you need to go somewhere, but it would be something to consider if you have a tight space that you are putting your charger in in a bag.

Personally, I've had horrible experiences with the Dell AC adapters that have 3 prongs on the end. My family has three laptops and for some odd reason only the 2 prong AC adapters work effectively and last for years. After reading countless reviews on the Dell website I found other people agreed with this "3 prong problem". Because of this I always seek out 2 prong AC adapters - such as the one displayed on this page. Well, I just received this adapter in the mail today and lo and behold.. IT'S A 3 PRONG AC ADAPTER! I'm not exactly sure how this company can show a picture and claim it's the item you will receive when this is a blatant lie. I suggest anyone to be wary of what you will actually be getting in the mail, and by the way - if it breaks you'll probably know why.

Dell logo, but illegal counterfeit charger. Buyers beware. Will void your warranty and burn out pretty quickly, if the cable doesn't develop a bad connection first. Worst case scenario, the poor power regulation can damage expensive laptops.

Spend twice as much on a GENUINE Dell charger instead because it will last forever (if you don't abuse it, like yanking on the cord to unplug it).

It seems like our Dell adapters always go bad quickly. I bought this one to avoid wasting another $90. I figured if it didn't work, it wouldn't be too big a loss. I have been using it about 10 months now, and it is still doing the job fine. I'm actually going to buy another one now; my daughter has taken mine since her Dell one has also bitten the dust. The cord is a bit shorter, but that hasn't been too big a problem. Don't waste your money on the manufacturer's brand. This one does just as well at a fraction of the cost.

As soon as I plugged it in, the power adapter started making this awful high pitched squeal, and got very hot. So hot, that I had to unplug it and let it sit before I could pick it up! Safety hazard for sure.

I bought this as a second charger through Amazon for my Dell Inspiron 9300 laptop. My particular laptop I got with the optional GF6800 video card and also the extended battery. But it doesn't charge the battery in my computer, it only powers it. If my battery is at 53%, if I use this "Laptop Charger," it will power the computer for as long as I like, but it won't charge the battery at all. The battery will stay at 53%.

My Dell computer will recognize this too and throw up a message in Windows as soon as this adapter is plugged in saying"

"I recognize that you've me in to the wall, but I hate your 'laptop charger' because it's not giving me enough juice or something. So stop hating on me and buy me a real 'charger' already! In the meantime, I will be running the CPU at only half-speed"

Ok...the wording is slightly different, but it works like this:
* Dell Adapter - computer full speed, battery charges
* This adapter purchased on Amazon - computer 1/2 speed, battery doesn't charge

I'm not sure that I'm actually getting the full 90w off of this thing. Looking at the one I bought here on Amazon it says "90W-DL05." And looking at my Dell charger that actually works it reads "90W AC Adapter." Plus the "charger" purchased here on Amazon is slightly lighter than my original Dell adapter that came with the computer.
