This was an excellent replacement to my power adapter and plug I had lost which is needed to recharge the HP notebook computer. In retailstores, including mega discount stores, the adapter cost 5x more. HP still uses a specific plug rather than an MP3 style plug. My item was shipped very promptly. Remove your battery and below it describes the model and adapter you need...i.e. a pavillion is slightly different from the newer HP 2000. So be sure to order the correct one. This company cheerfully, and quickly, exchanged mine. You must have this item to keep your battery charged or simply to power your notebook computer.

Nice aftermarket but...

This AC adapter fit perfectly into my HP laptop after my puppy chewed my factory one. Charges like a charm. Complaints are the cord could be a little longer, and the unit gets a lot hotter than the factory one. With a baby, that can be a concern.
