Charges well, runs hot, shorter cord.

I have a Toshiba Satellite L550-ST2744 laptop. It used a Toshiba PA-1650-21 AC adapter. My laptop slid to the floor and the pin on the adapter cracked (makes me yearn for the magnetic charger on an Apple). It was imperative I get a charger as I use my laptop constantly. I didn't want to pay $90 from Toshiba as money is tight. I read the reviews (hoping they were by real people) and I ordered this at midnight on Friday, paid for expedited shipping, and received it on Monday.

I found the item in a simple bubble wrap envelope in my mailbox. The pin fits perfectly and I think is better engineered than the original. The specs appear to be the same as on the Toshiba as is the size of the "box". Both adapters heated up but I will say this runs hot to the point I am a mite concerned. This could be me being hyper-aware as I am worried about using an "off-brand" product. My laptop was down to 11 minutes when I plugged in the adapter and it has been charging for about two hours and it seems to charge as quickly as the original adapter.

As I have literally had this a couple hours, I might update the review after seeing how it works out.

UPDATE: I have had this for a couple weeks now and I am quite satisfied with it. It seems to turn off on its own accord once the laptop is fully charged (assuming my laptop is sleeping). It does not run as hot as it once did. Again, I wish the cord was longer, but that is nothing.

In the picture they show you the actual toshiba laptop charger. . It works but it was not t what I ordered.
It seems to work on my Newer Toshiba 17 ". not working with my older 17 " laptop.
one I needed it for.

In the picture they show you the actual toshiba laptop charger. You get a cheap knockoff charger instead with a very short cord. It works but it wasent what I was led to belive I was ordering

Received wrong adapter

I ordered this to replace the cord for my Toshiba PA3714U-1ACA. Arrived on time with good packaging, and the cord fit into the computer, but it wouldn't charge. The number on this model is PA3467-1ACA, and they are apparently not compatible, even though my model is listed among the compatible ones. Planning to send it back tomorrow.

I checked to make sure it was compatible with my laptop and yet when I got it it wouldn't charge it and all the pieces were not included. Shipping was great timing but that was a waste since it didn't work. Hard to send it back maybe I can find a better one

Disgusting. SCAM. DANGEROUS.

I purchased this product expect it to work, yet my battery would only charge to 79%, would last about 30 minutes and LITERAL SPARKS STARTED FLYING OUT THE THE CHARGING PORT. I would AVOID contact with this seller AT ALL COSTS. Never will I EVER purchase another this from this DISGUSTING, TRASH-RIDDEN store.
