Works great on Samsung Galaxy S4 and i7 MSI Gaming 17.3" Laptop - Charges last a VERY long time!

I'll make this short and sweet, and straight to the point.

PROS:

1) It's battery charges last a VERY long time! If I charge this thing to 100% capacity and come back to it 3 months later, I see 3 out of 4 bars. Even after charging a quarter my laptop's battery and half of my Samsung Galaxy S4 stock battery, it still shows 3 out of 4 bars. If I had to put a number on it, I'd say after 3 months it maybe loses 10%-15% of the charge or so.

2) It charges my Samsung Galaxy S4 stock battery (using the FRiEQ Hi-Speed Cloth Jacketed USB 2.0 A Male to Micro B Cable) almost 2% per minute. 15 minutes of charging gave me 27% increase in battery level. The Samsung Galaxy S4 stock power plug and USB cable gave me 25% in 30 minutes for comparison.

3) It charges my MSI GE70 20E-071US 17 inch gaming laptop (which BTW is a beast and battery hog due to the GTX 765M video card), at a rate of about 25% per every 30 minutes. I tested the same 30 minute time duration with the stock power cord that comes with the laptop and it charges 24% in 30 minutes. Note: The little piece of paper that came with the Allpowers charger did NOT mention MSI as a laptop brand that it had a connector for. However, I compared the stock MSI power connector with what connectors were available from the Allpowers charger and I used the one that was the closest match. Just don't force it in if it doesn't fit! Do it at your own risk!

CONS:

1) When charging my laptop, I have to power the laptop off completely, or else the Allpowers charger would get interrupted and stop charging every 5 mins or so. Not too bad of a con, but just wanted to point that out in case ya'll's are getting strange behaviors charging your laptops.Read more ›

When I started to look for self rechargeable chargers. I was hoping to find something that may not required a self dependence on the regular basis of charging a device from the outlet. I decided to buy this. At first it seemed the charger was absorbing efficiently the solar energy as It was supposed to do. But I didn't notice the problem until the energy ran out completely from the battery. It indeed chargers if you plug that into an outlet , but the solar charging efficiency is bad! terribly bad! I guess you will always have the doubt whether the solar part is goign to work as you would expect and in my case it didn't work at all. The chargers flashes every time it gets into contact with the solar light but there were times where I left the charger for more than 8 hours since the morning to the afternoon and it didn't seem to charge at all because when I first started to put the charger on the light the battery was already discharged and when I came back after 8 hours it didn't even want it to charge my cellphone. I live in Texas, I thought I had the solar light power on my side, but I guess even with this amount of intensity the solar panel doesn't seem to work as I thought. I hope someone can get use of this information and be very careful before buying this product. at least know the scenarios you may face after buying it. I give it 2 stars because even though it does not charge at all on the solar panel mode , it does get charged plugged in a n outlet but what is the point of that?

This is the second one I tried. Both defective, would not charge from adapter, the other one the USB port plastic piece fell back Into the device. Do not buy, repeat do not buy!

Easily charges my phone and tablet

I charged my phone and tablet with this, and it still had plenty of charge left over. It comes with every type of attachment you could possibly want. This is basically a spare battery. You will mostly charge it on the outlet. The solar panel works, but don't expect to make significant dents in this thing's overall charge via solar. The solar is sort of an add-on extra feature, giving you a little extra charge here and there. Buy it for it's amazing wall-charged battery power, enjoy the solar boost as a bonus.

This worked like a CHAMP

I had troubles with other external batteries properly charging my Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD phone. This worked like a CHAMP!

First things first:
1. THIS IS A MUST - Charge it from the wall - 24hour min.
2. Charge other stuff with it till it's dead.
3. Charge again from the wall
4. Use willy-nilly after that.

I know it's not supposed to have a memory and perhaps it doesn't. However, from all the other entries I've seen about ALLPOWERS battery in regards to them only working once and never again... I returned to "RechargeableBattery-101" and so far this battery has been working great.

I can tell you that, like everyone else's posts, it does NOT fully recharge via the solar panel after 2 - 12 hour days in full Texas sun... not even enough to change the charging LED from 1 LED to 2 LEDs. But I also have more testing to go.

Using the device from a full (wall) charge, I was able to successfully recharge (from dead) the following:
Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD - 2.5 times
Dell Venue 11 Pro-7130 tablet with travel keyboard (which has a built-battery as well) - 1.5 times (100% once and about 50% capacity the 2nd time)

This is what I had hoped to be able to do, especially the tablet/keyboard combo - that is a huge draw on any battery so 1.5x + cell phone charging a couple of times was well worth the cost of the device.

I'll post more once I've had more time to play with it. But seeing as it takes some time to kill off the battery by charging other stuff... my weekend gets away from me rather quickly trying to kill my 2 day battery on the phone + the 12-16 hour battery(s) on the tablet/keyboard then recharge them to see how far they get.
