Very compact case with high quality feeling materials

Size: 11-11.6 Inches

This is a nice looking and feeling laptop case which is compact and low profile.
This case is small enough that it can go through TSA screening without having to remove your laptop/netbook.
The outside material is a really thick and tweed like texture which gives it a premium feel unlike your typical tight weave cloth. The zipper are all reverse zippers (aka you don't see the teeth on the outside) which gives the case a very clean look. The inside has a very soft felt feel. The sides are adequately cushioned so that your netbook/tablet will be safe even from falls. Interesting, there is a corner sipper pocket which allows you to charge or plug in headphones into your tablet/laptop without having to take it out of the case.
Also, there is a small pocket in the side that can hold any cables or small peripherals

Good Basic Protection for Your Laptop

I have a sleeve for my tablet that works out very well for me. It provides some protection for the screen and provides some limited protection against drops and bumps. This is the first sleeve I have used for a laptop and so far I like it. It is appreciably cheaper than a laptop bag or backpack, but it also has less room for accessories.

The sleeve I have is the 15.6” version and it fits my laptop almost perfectly. There is a small amount of wiggle room in the sleeve so that the laptop can slide a little from side to side and it’s just enough to make slipping the laptop in and taking it back out much easier. There is sufficient padding around the edges to make this sleeve useful for bumps and bangs but it will not protect the laptop within from hard drops on the edge.

The outer material is a tight woolen weave and it does a good job of repelling water (though it is not completely waterproof). When splashed with water, the majority of the water beads up and rolls off, and of what remains most can be simply brushed off. The end result is a very slightly damp surface, nowhere near enough to get the laptop inside even slightly wet. So, when toting the sleeve outside it will effectively protect the laptop inside from rain.

There are two pockets inside this sleeve. One is lined in a fleece-like soft material that gently cushions the laptop and allows it to slide in and out more easily. The other pocket is zippered and it is lined in vinyl; it is a good place to put papers, smaller accessories like a travel mouse and other small items. This pocket is not big enough to handle a lot of extras like a full laptop bag.

I inspected the sleeve closely and I have not been able to find any problems in the way it is made.Read more ›

Heavy duty protection

AMNIE Herringbone Woollen Water-resistant 15-15.6 Inch Laptop Sleeve is like custom made for my Toshiba Satellite C655 laptop PC. Exact fit for the 15.6” monitor PC. Near the bottom, there is an extra zipped corner for the charging plug while the PC is inside the pouch. This is a compact sleeve, not a carrying bag. You cannot put a bulky AC/DC block inside due to its thickness. The pouch has a side pocket inside designed for documents and other flat items. I usually carry the charger and a mouse together with charger and cable for my Android phone in a plastic bag when travelling. A traditional computer bag is too bulky for me in my carry-on luggage. The pouch has surprisingly thick paddings, providing extra protection. It is overkill. The fluffy fleece fabric lining inside the bag is luxurious. Very soft to the touch, giving a high quality feel. I was given a free sample to evaluate. It is labelled as water resistant. The zipper has rather small teeth. I guess it is designed to be water resistant. Water resistance does not mean water proof. If a cup of coffee is accidentally spilled on the closed pouch, quick removal of the water should not wet the content due to the thick padding. The outside fabric is soft. The entire thing looks cool.

Extremely well made and very attractive tweed-look laptop sleeve. Spacious inner storage pocket.

This AMNIE product really is a top-quality laptop sleeve, genuinely one of the best I have ever seen and beautifully made.

Its attractive grey herringbone tweed look cover is nicely on trend and totally unisex, with black fabric on the zips. Stitching is perfect throughout. The sleeve is double - zipped, which is so useful, with each zip having a sturdy large rubberised tag, making it easy to grip. There is a tasteful AMNIE rubberised logo on the outside sleeve.

Inside, the sleeve has a lovely soft brown plush lining throughout, as well as a separate zipped compartment for leads, mice, memory packs, etc , this is lined with turquoise nylon material and runs the full length of the case, making it a useful size, something that not every case features.

There is also a short zip on the bottom right corner that just opens up the one corner of the sleeve- perhaps this is so you can unzip it and tuck in a forgotten item when the sleeve is tucked under your arm.

The sleeve arrived in a re-usable, slightly opaque zip-lock plastic pouch, useful for keeping it clean when it is not in use.
I was delighted to receive this product to review without cost, this is my honest and unbiased opinion.
