I'm going to start by listing the credentials of my review; I currently work at Apple and I have been messing around with computers, software and hardware since I was 10 years old. I've had several computers and I buy computers just for fun.

The reason I gave this computer a 4 is because I think it is UNBELIEVABLE for the price but I have taken a star off because I want to be a little critical of this device to point out EXACTLY what is wrong with it.

Cons- 32GB of HD, and after windows is installed you have about 20-25GB left which is even less....
2GB RAM, this is certainly not enough to play games and run multiple software, so this computer is not for gamers, engineers, or architects. This computer is for businessmen who run basic Office and personal users who surf the web.
Camera SUCKS! My toaster has a better camera than this... I'm not even going to get into it. Lucky for me, I never use the camera so this is something that can be overlooked
USB 2.0 only, this sucks for when you want to transfer data (which you have to often because you have very small Hard Drive) and it is SLOOOOOW!

Now for the Pros, where you can overlook these objections;
1.33GHZ Quad Core, so yea it is fast, especially when you aren't running games and stuff, and even if you can run a game that can be supported by 2GB RAM, it is still unbelievably fast
Micro-SD support, so the low Hard Drive problem could be overcome by getting a 64GB micro SD card for like 20 bucks and it has 2x more HD
Micro-HDMI, and the reason for that is because it is SOO slim and portable that the side wouldn't even be big enough for a regular HDMI port
PRICE!

A nice little laptop at a great price. This isn't a high-end gaming machine or anything like that. It is a basic little laptop. For the price, you get Windows 8.1 (upgradable to Windows 10). Screen is decent, keyboard is decent, build quality is decent. The price is incredible. If you are looking for a laptop to use at school, to carry around with you, have in your living room for guest/casual use, then this is a great buy. It does everything that a regular user would need it to do, and if it gets damaged or destroyed you don't have to worry about having spent a big pile of change on the machine.

I absolutely love this ASUS EeeBook. I can use it just like my desktop pc. The keyboard is small requiring some adjustment to typing but this laptop does everything my desktop is being used for and I love it and YES Recommend it by all means, no hesitation....

This is the best value laptop I have seen and used. I have had many small laptops because I find myself sometimes needing to do something in window or not wanting to travel with my $2000 mac. I use and love Macs but this little laptop is making me think twice.

It feels great! The keys are nice and smooth and a good size (I have large hands and fat fingers). The screen is better than the asus chromebook c201. The battery life is absolutely ridiculous. I use it for days without charging. I'm guessing over 10 hours conservatively. The Wi-Fi connects beautifully and the performance is above par for a laptop in this category. It is very thin and very light. So far it has performed a lot better than I expected and I expected it to work well.

I just upgraded to Windows 10 and I cannot believe how much I like it. Makes this laptop even more of gem. I also got the office 365 subscription with it and that's a very good promotion.

One major point (for me): Bloatware and adware are absolutely condemned. I'm happy to say that this gem doesn't have either. It's a clean system!

As for dealing with the seller: When I started up the laptop I went and looked to see how much HD space I actually had. I was very disappointed and concerned because it showed the HD as only having 20G capacity and under 6G available. In addition, I could not get the Office 365 subscription to work. I was only getting a month instead of a year. I immediately contacted the seller. He got back to me very promptly and politely. He ran me through a process that cleared out the excess MS operating system files and I now have a disk showing the proper capacity and over 16G available. And, he directed me to the proper way of getting my 365 subscription.

I bought this Eeebook to replace an earlier Asus Eeebook which was becoming outdated. Therefore, I knew that it is a lightweight net book designed for web browsing, email, Youtube viewing and word processing tasks. Within these limitations, the computer works well. However, if you want to run memory and processor intensive programs, this is not your computer.

I did have some problem activating the Office 365 trial, but an Asus phone customer service representative told me how to solve the problem right away. Don't email Asus customer service; that employee was very unhelpful to the point of being unable to understand the problem at all nor caring whether it was solved at all

PROS: lightweight, easy to adapt for accessibility with one exception, comfortable useable keyboard, long battery life with fast recharging. I have not noticed the lack of control issue with the touch pad, although this is a problem with my older Eeebook so it may be a chronic Asus issue.

CONS: touch pad immediately depressed permanently on right side; status lights are hard to see; feels worrying insubstantial compared to my older Eeebook; will not let me increase the display font size which I need for accessibility;

This computer behaves well just as I expected from my older Eeebook. I would recommend it for classroom note taking, web browsing, email, and the like. I would always carry it in a case or sleeve, and be watchful for putting text books or heavy objects on top of it due to the light casing. Within its limitations, worth buying.
