Maybe the most perfect tablet out there!

I love it! I already owned a couple of iPads and Android tablets, but overall couldn't find a device that would meet my daily needs.

All I need to do is write email, check some websites, and take notes in school!
But.... the iPad doesn't offer much control over the device and files, so sending and sharing files was a nightmare, and the Android crashed too often. With that said...

Some Information
+ I find the ASUS Transformer very easy to use
+ Very open and customizable
+ Battery life on average lasts me about 10 hours
+ Easily send and receive files because of the Windows File Explorer! :)
+ Comes with a USB port
+ Transforms from a Tablet into a Notebook so you can have the best of both worlds.
+ Unlike the iPad it has a SD slot to easily upgrade memory + It actually comes with only about 8GB of memory, which might not be enough for most people so I'd recommend the 128 GB SanDisk SD card ( http://amzn.to/11uCCj3 )
+ Runs Flash videos and games
+ Webcam (front facing camera)
+ HDMI port to hook up to a TV
+ Fully compatible with Microsoft Office and comes with Windows 8.1

The specs are great and the features are amazing, it's definitely a grande experience. One thing I might also recommend is buying a $4 protective screen cover at to keep the fingerprints and dust under control. Because the screen gets a little smudgy from all the touching.

Great Little Device!

This thing is blazing fast! I love the detachable keyboard. It's a perfect travel computer for me. I take it on the airplane and can do some emails and use word. Battery life is great. I get up to 10 hours surfing the web/writing emails. I find using the touch screen very intuitive - in fact i use it more than the trackpad.

The only I wish is that there are more quality apps from windows 8 metro.

It has survived her usage and my two young children's attacks with out issue.
I find the fit and finish to be good and the performance is great even after a year.

the second one we have purchased. Love mine, so got one for my husband. Rarely use the keyboard, but nice to have. replaced a laptop. I have real estate business and love the touch screen, write notes, just way cool. Downloaded lots of game apps and the grandkids love to play games, even got me hooked on a few.

The fitting on the keyboard was off. There's a rubberized material glued onto the bracket area and it wasn't put on properly so there was a flap of material that got in the way of snapping the screen onto the keyboard. This interfered with the operation of the computer. The glue smeared onto the screen, too. This happened within the first 48 hours after use.

Real bad ASUS service. They don't put any value on your time or money. Only buy if you don't value either.

So upset about this. I am writing ASUS off my electronic list.
Computer arrived dead. Wouldn't turn on. Ok this happens but 1st bad thing.
2nd. Talk to ASUS. They convince me not to return it for a refund but that I should send it back to them and they will replace it with a new computer. The ASUS rep is very interested in me giving him a great score on the customer survey - promises he personally will ensure I get a new computer.
Couple of weeks later a box comes back from ASUS. The exact same computer is in it. However, it seems to work.
I spend the hours setting up a Windows 8 (downloading updates, etc.).
Couple of days of use later. Computer dies. Won't start.
Again ASUS says I need to send it back and they promise to actually replace the computer and not just send me back the pos I was sold.
Again the ASUS rep says he will personally ensure I get a new computer and that I should give him a great score on the customer service survey.
This time I need to spend $15 on packing material to send it back.
ASUS will get the computer in about a week - they used slow shipping. It will take at least another week or 2 to get back the replacement.
This was purchased as a christmas present for a child at the end of November. At the very best case, they won't have it to use until 3rd week in January. I have wasted hours of time, and spent my own extra $ shipping around ASUS' pos.

It's an ok tablet there is some heavy flaws to it

It's a very nice tablet
Pros:
-It's fast for intel atom core but don't expect to play any heavy video games
-this is design and ideal for notereading and somewhat for notetaking (will explain in the cons)
-Some people say the material is cheap but I only agreed to the keyboard which sometimes I feel if you hit it hard enough it will break. But tablet wise feel very solid.
-Comes with a microsoft windows 365 office (I prefer 2010 windows 7)
-Touch screen is very fluid and responsive
-Was at a cheap price so no complaint
-there is a usb on the keyboard not to be bad
-battery life is good as long as you don't use any heavy program that will drain it heavily
-Good for traveling with
-Has a webcam
Cons:
-A very terrible at stylus note taking (What ever you do, do not buy this for stylus writing!!!!!!!!!!). It's very unresponsible and I feel liike if you buy a stylus buy a one with a sharp tip not the ball pen one (sometimes it write off into a different tangent line). You will have a terrible writing and fustration is there (This is the only bug issue I have with this).
Also you do not have to the option to make it automaically switch between mouse and stylus, you have manually press to change; such as mouse to styluse or vice versa, one note: you can't scroll up or down with the stylus (a missing feature with a big flaw), you have to manually press for erasing, and etc
-Keyboard is very small and fragile so becareful with it, also have a hard time typing on it so I rather type it on the tablet.Read more ›
