Very good computer for the money!

While I don't own one yet, I set one up for a technically challenged friend, added software and set options. By the time I finished, I really didn't want to hand it over and now have one on my wish list. I found this laptop to be very quick to respond and to open things. It wasn't so laden down with manufacturer's junk that it didn't have the muscle to open and run the programs I wanted to run. The 16" screen seems a LOT bigger than the one on my 15.6 laptop. It probably shouldn't, but it does. I like the texture on the click bar, makes it easier to find by touch. The red color is more maroon than candy-apple and is very attractive. I have no doubt that it's possible to find a better laptop but it would be pretty difficult at this price. I hope to be able to buy one for myself in the next couple of months.

like the pretty red color....the space bar sticks...most disconcerting. it stalls constantly, in the middle of internet orwhen (example of sticking space bar) I'm on my own platform. ....mostexasperating!!!

otherwise it is a very nice machine. ireally like the10key pad.

It serves my purpose. I knew it wouldn't be real fast but is a little slower than I expected. That could also be our internet connection too. My only real complaint is I have trouble keeping it working with my HP Photosmart wireless printer. It started out fine but the connection between the two is sporadic. I have to uninstall and then reinstall the printer quite often to get it to work. I have checked the problem online and it might be a Windows 7 glitch. That is what is installed on my Acer Aspire.
