I'm writing this review solely to debunk any of the poor reviews that have been given for, in my opinion either not well thought out or just stupid reasons. First the product description states that there is NO optical drive. Don't fault the laptop for not having a feature that it is not supposed to have. A slot is available and one can be purchased fairly cheap on this site. Second it runs WINDOWS quite fast and the touchpad works as well if not better then any other laptop I've used. I currently own 6 laptops and although the zoom function, multi touch pad is new to me, it was not overly difficult to get used to. And the left and right mouse "buttons" work as well as my desktop. I haven't had to use the laptop more than a few hours without charging so I can't speak to the battery life but after a 4 hour trip to the doctor it was still at 68% so I expect to get a decent life out of a full charge so long as I don't take up playing wow or any other game that may drain the battery faster than normal. Long story short, I haven't found a laptop like it at a better deal.
