Acer should be ashamed of themselves

Acer should be ashamed of themselves. I purchased new modem. Tablet(s), phone (Vonage) and Roku had no problems but Acer laptop was unable to receive the wifi signal. I contacted Acer support and they passed me off to a third party Tech Suport. The problem was diagnosed as being a driver problem. However I was unable to access Acer’s drivers on my own. Whenever I entered my SNID the site responded with a msg that "the drivers were unavailable" (paraphrasing). The funny thing was once I paid the 3rd party service $99 to have the problem fixed the driver was available. I went back to Acer support re-entered my SN/ID and the drivers were available. The problem turned out to be the driver needed to be reloaded and the connection re-established. This is something I could have done myself. If Acer is going to hire a 3rd party Tech Support they should insure these people are reputable. Acer should allow access to their customer service so issues like this can be reported.
