Leaves you wanting more speed

Too slow even for minimal expectations. This has a Quad core Celeron N2940. Its basically a revision of the Atom processors you used to find in those Netbooks. Although I will say this CPU is a definite improvement it still barely handles anything good enough.
Yes, you can play HD video, you can run a browser with a few tabs open and yes for the price the battery life alone makes it a OK device for travel. Especially if you find a tablet not to your liking. So here is the problem, if your running say Windows update or a security scan the hardware really slows down. Programs launch slowly, scrolling pauses or becomes choppy and you just feel your waiting all the time for stuff to happen. You even second guess yourself if you made that click or not with the touchpad because nothing happened. But then all of a sudden the computer catches up just as your about to click again. You don't get this so much with one tab browsing and nothing running in background. But I certainly thought a quad core CPU could do better? Even a low powered one. In the end, I will probably return this for a refund and look for a core i3 notebook. For a little more money the i3 will be leaps and bounds better in performance. I honestly cannot recommend this notebook for anyone except maybe a person who would only consider this notebook a second device and only used occasionally. Otherwise, look for something better for a primary notebook.
