Very Nice Laptop

I'm not very tech savvy, but I really like this laptop. It does everything I need it to do, has a excellent battery life, seems to be very fast. It has a touchscreen and a backlit keyboard, so those are two very nice touches, especially in this price range. I had heard a lot of complaints about Windows 8, while I was researching a new computer, but to me, it does not seem like a big deal at all. There isn't any software to speak of on this machine, which is good, IMO. I haven't had this laptop that long, but I really have nothing negative to say about it. I would recommend it to anyone.

I ordered this new acer because my very first laptop which is also an acer died last week. Tired of it being so slow, I did a factory reset and then it died. Was on the phone for at least an hour w/my provider (who was great by the way) to see if we could get it going again and what we determined was that it's the computer,not them. Instead of calling acer about it (which I still may do), I chose to treat myself to a new one. After checking out the acer options here on the 'zon' I found this one, checked it out for the features, read all of the reviews, shared it w/my sister to get her opinion, and bought it. I made the purchase actually even prior to getting sis's opinion and she was thrilled with my decision.

Well I ordered it on Wednesday I believe and it arrived yesterday. I was thrilled with how fast I got it! First, let me say that this laptop cost me about $250 less than my first acer that I bought in 2006. I am thoroughly amazed with this new one!!!!!!! It will take me awhile to figure it all out with everything I can do on it but so far I'm having fun with it. What an amazing machine!!! I am SO happy I decided to (1) buy a new one and (2) that this is the one I chose. I highly recommend this acer to anyone. Enjoy it if you just treated yourself to it too!

This laptop is packed with features for an amazing price. I love the touchscreen, and it even has an optical drive with CD and DVD read/write capabilities, which is becoming harder to find on laptops. It doesn't have all the "junkware" that's constantly running in the background, slowing the computer down. I highly recommend this purchase. My family bought 3 of them!
