For a 17 inch laptop, this is thin and lightweight with a nice texture that makes carrying it feel very secure secure. The 17 inch screen enable you actually work with two documents side by side without having to overlap them. Overall a pretty solid laptop for everyday use.

While I hate Windows 8 I needed a newer computer to use ...

While I hate Windows 8 I needed a newer computer to use for Windows 10. I notice that some folks have claimed to have problems with the keys on the key board- no such problems were found. I had no problems, except for Windows 8.1 tendency do drop the internet connection, something that all Windows 8 machines tend to do. And Windows 8 computers constantly try to change the DNS setting. (Sorry folks but there is nothing wrong with you router, nor your modem, this is a windows 8 bug. My real problem came when I went from upgrading to Windows 10 to resetting Windows 10. Major crash. The computer says it can't locate a booting device.

The only suggestion any techs can come up with is to get the software from Acer and reformat the hard drive, then reinstall windows 10. So word of caution- a clean install of Windows 10 may not work on an Acer computer because it still looks for Windows 8 start up components.

Fast speed, audio output issues

Very light, very quiet, boots very fast.
Cons: Sounds is terrible. The speakers are facing the underside of the unit; sounds muffled and very low volume output. I recommend an external audio speaker.

Very poor customer service

This product has a 30 day warranty. It was delivered on July 19th. My issue occurred on August 25th and now they want to charge me $100 to fix it. I appealed for some leeway since it's only 6 days past the warranty date and could get no help. I will not be buying another ACER refurbished computer.
