My take but you might want to know

UPDATE 12/24: Ok, so I had enough of the touchpad and bought a mouse. As far as the keyboard goes - I have some good days and some annoying days with it. I did see that Acer promotes that the screen is fingerprint proof but I would have to disagree.

UPDATE 12/3:
Me and this keyboard are still not getting along; it has gotten a little better but I am still experiencing mistakes that I usually just dont make. On top of that now the touch pad and I are also having our learning curve. There just seems to be some responsive issues with both. It is not a deal breaker with me because it has gotten better but I feel people will notice within the first day of use.

The battery life for me is pretty good; medium usage of browsing, office use, videos and varying brightness last me about 4-6hrs. Safe to say independent usage may vary and how it impacts battery life but on days where I have minimal use and low screen brightness I can squeeze 8hrs out.

I did have a nuisance with the auto brightness feature as it adjust to the surrounding lighting environment. I ultimately turned this feature off as it was so frequent throughout the day.

The hinge for the screen is still as good as day one; very solid feel and I am often changing the viewing angle as needed.

1 - WEIGHT: In comparison to a Dell Vostro 13 which is a fairly light laptop and thin; the R13 is thinner and lighter. 2 - SCREEN: The viewing angle, brightness and clarity are really nice. No complaints at the moment. The different movement positions of the screen is a key feature of why I purchased this laptop. I had always looked at the XPS 12 from Dell but the 13.3 in screen is my mark for laptops.Read more ›

I normally don't write reviews, but I'm very happy with this purchase. I recommend the seller, the transaction was smooth and I got my new computer on the date promised. I had read negative reviews about sticking keyboards, but mine is flawless with no sticking (I wasn't worried about keyboard layout, Qwerty is Qwerty, so essential typing is great--most OEMs play around with special function key placement and I look when using those keys, unlike regular typing where I can touch type). I love the multiple positions allowed for the screen, which is quite beautiful to look at. Performance with 8 GB and an SSD drive is awesome. I've never had any PC or laptop boot as fast as this one. My WIFI signal is strong, even in the kitchen, which is farthest from the router. Bluetooth works flawlessly--I'm using a Gearhead BT trackball mouse. I was lucky to receive a Microsoft Store "Speciall Edition," meaning there wasn't bloatware. I wanted to use this a bit before beginning to order peripherals but I did order and recently received the Dell second-gen Synaptics pen. I went with the Dell pen rather than the Acer because its their second generation pen and people have been a bit happier with the battery life than the 1st gen Dell Synaptics pen. I suspect Acer will be able to improve their next gen Synaptics pen. I'm not an artist, although I like to dabble with drawing so the lower level of sensitivity settings in the Synaptic digitizer didn't bother me. Synaptics seems to have been good at updating their drivers, from what I've read in various forums. I can attest to the accuracy of the Dell 2nd gen Synaptics pen with this 2-in-1. Pro: Clear bright screen from any angle. The touch screen is very responsive. Slim and light weight size that's only about 3pounds. Great cool blue backlit. Love that I just have to flip open and close the screen to turn on and off the labtop. I hardly need to press the power on button any more. Great Job Acer. Love the Acer logo that lights up like the Mac books. The Ezel hinge is a wonderful invention by Acer. I hope they put a patent on it. It's very sturdy and very functional. You get six different display mode. You get the hybrid laptop with the power of I7/I5.
Con: None, only time will tell.

This is my fourth laptop. I had to return my previous 3 all in time then found this perfect hybrid laptop. If your shopping for a laptop, then shop no more and just get this model.

It's a wonderful laptop

I love this Laptop, especially with the backlit Keyboard feature, for the main reason that it is very helpful to play and type at nights. The touch screen is very responsive and accurate so things can be neat. This Laptop is very fast for downloading and processing things like games. I mostly like that it converts from a laptop to a tablet unlike other laptops, it carries a tilt feature that allows different adjustment for better viewing purposes. Also the screen and speakers are high quality resolution of 1908 X 1080. In addition to this the battery life on this computer a superb battery life lasting up to 8 hours.
