This did not last 2 months before it did not work either. Cord is also shorter than OEM. Cheaply made and came apart at the jack end exposing the wiring.

I bought two power adapters for Dell 630's; one worked,, worked but the other one didn't. The price was right on the products; however, if I send the one back that doesn't work; the postage alone will be more than just getting a refund or another charger. As it looks; I payed twice the price for the one that works. It would be very nice if you were to send me another charger, free of charge but assuming that isn't going to happen, The rating I would give this purchase would be all zero's and no stars.

This was purchased as a Christmas gift for my wife. I didn't expect this to be that last charger I ever purchased but I figured it would last for more than a month. It started cutting out at about 3 weeks and now does not work at all. I thought I was purchasing a gift for my wife, but instead, I received the gift of hearing my wife complain when she has to use her old charger (which shocks her if she moves the laptop). I will be purchasing an replacement elsewhere.

Charger I received does not match this picture. I made sure to have my old one in front of me when I ordered , to make sure all serial numbers matched. Well it works, I mean it will allow me to power on the laptop but the charger gets so hot you almost can't touch it. I also purchased a new high performance battery at the same time so i could replace them both. So the charger gets to hot and the battery only last if it stays plugged up .

Fit my HP G62

At only a fraction of the cost of buying from HP, whose prices are outrageous for replacement cords/batteries and the like, I am overall happy. I wish the cord were a little longer as the HP cord was, but I'll gladly take a shorter cord to save a ton of money.

UPDATE: The cord wore out and I ordered rush delivery for 2 cords this time. I believe I needed replacement due to my own negligence of letting the plug hit a certain way where it wore away being pressed up against something repeatedly.

So, these 2 new ones are not doing well at all. I only had them for 2-3 weeks and the first one already went kaput. I'm using the second backup one, which I wasn't expecting to need for months from now. The second one is shorting out already, which was an issue I had with the first one, and I just started using it 5 minutes ago. You have to keep jiggling the cord and maneuvering it for it to charge. Very disappointing and would not recommend based on the last 2 I just ordered. Seemed like quality went downhill -- or I just lucked out the first go around. My first review, I gave it four stars. Since it fits my model and is working, although poorly, I am giving 2 stars.
