When I first plugged my Lenovo Thinkpad X1Carbon in it took a little jiggling of the tip of the plug where it plugs into my laptop to get the laptop to start charging, and it was all downhill from there, At this point where I've had the power supply it's about time to buy another one and definitely something made by Lenovo or at least endorsed by them cause this just isn't going to cut it, I am not even able to get it to charge my laptop at all the charging light on the computer may come on for a second before going out again and if I set the laptop on it's side and tuck the cord behind it with enough slack I may or may not get it to charge long enough to use, As for using the laptop while it's plugged in just isn't happening. Well just goes to show that the cheapest isn't always the best.

What can I really say about a charger. I broke my original charger and was in desperate need of a new one, I went to Best Buy and they wanted double the price so I decided to buy it online in stead, I'm glad I did. Specs are not right for X1 Carbon

I didn't fully read all of the specs before I bought this, but I assumed that because the adapter was listed as compatible with my computer, it would be. Unfortunately the adapter that came with my Lenovo X1 Carbon is 3.25A, and this is 4.5A. I have been advised not to use it - it is not worth the shipping expense to send it back.

This charger has a loose connection between the AC (socket-side) cable and the brick which often comes loose and requires some unplugging and replugging to get working, and has a DC (laptop-side) cable that is waaaayyyy to short for most practical purposes.
