Works great for a reasonable price

I bought my MSI GE60 as a desktop replacement and have the AC adapter that came with it behind a large desk. It would be difficult to access it so I wanted a second adapter that I could use when I take the laptop with me. The place where I bought the laptop and several similar places wanted $95.00 - $100 for a second adapter. I saw this Pwr+ AC adapter for much less but the numbers on it were slightly different than the original (19V~6.3A vs. 19.5V~6.15A). Not knowing much about electricity, I didn't know if that was okay. I did a little research though and seems that the Pwr+ output is 119.7W while the original is 119.95W. I decided to go with it. So far I've used it for several trips and it has worked great. The laptop got plenty of power. I've left it plugged in for days and the power brick never got even a little warm. Plus, I didn't think I'd care about it but the the 14 foot cord turned out to be a nice bonus in a hotel room when I wanted to move the laptop from the desk to the table or bed. All-in-all, I'm very happy with this product.

I left my OEM power brick for my MSI GT70 (yes, not one of the supported models, but it uses the same connector) gaming laptop at my college when I left for Christmas break, and didn't want to drive several hundred miles just to get it *or* do without my computer for 5 weeks. The 180W model that is really intended for my laptop was twice as much (for the generic, the OEM replacement is nearly $150), and my MSI supports "Hybrid" charging (it will draw from the battery if the charger isn't supplying enough current), so I decided that for a backup, this 120W model would probably get the job done.

It has, I've spent many hours gaming with this power supply over the last month including some 8+ hour marathons, and although it has gotten very warm (and has triggered hybrid mode), it has not gotten too hot to touch, nor has any of the plastic casing melted. Although I would advise against pushing it like this as a normal thing, it's remarkable that it has handled such a punishing application so well. I'm a trained electronics tech and a lifelong geek, and I've been impressed that such an inexpensive replacement part has done so well.

I think that used properly (with one of the intended models), it would last for years of regular use, and I'll keep it for a backup.

Better, Though Bigger, Than the OEM Power Supply

This power supply is great and works flawlessly with my MSI GS70 Stealth. The LED light on the brick is helpful at indicating when it is connected to the outlet (so I don't accidentally leave it plugged in when not in use which is generally not a good idea). About the only downside to this thing is that it is so large, but I'm hoping that will translate into longevity by giving the internal components better spacing and cooling.

14' cord and plenty of power.

This is a good power brick with a VERY long cord. I'm talking about 14 feet in length. So you can plug it in and sit pretty much anywhere in a room. In some rooms, you can plug it in one room and work in the room next door! The length is awesome, the fit is proper to the laptop input jack, and I haven't had any problems with it at all. This is the brick I leave in my bag and take everywhere with me because of the length.

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because, in my mind, that represents perfection in a product. The power brick isn't anything sexy (the original from MSI is much smaller and thinner), but, like I said, this one is very functional. If the brick itself were just a little smaller and more visually appealing, like the laptop it's meant to power, it would be an automatic 5 stars for sure. You don't need to copy the original, just slim the packaging down a little.
