A replacement charger that outperforms the original in every way.

My OEM charger broke after dropping the laptop with it plugged in. Snapped the tip clean off. I purchased the PWR+ charger, and have used it for a little over a month. Here are my thoughts:

Length: I didnt think it was important to me, but having the long cord has allowed me to plug in in areas i previously only used on battery, it's nice.

Heat: The power brick stays at a comfortable temperature, not like the HP charger which got so hot I was afraid it would catch fire.

Durability: I've dropped my laptop on the charger with it plugged in, I.E. landing on the tip while connected. I've done this 3 or so times and the charger is still working.

Charge speed: Maybe it's related to the temperature difference, but this charger charges my laptop about 1/3 faster, where it used to take 3 hours for a full charge from empty, it now takes 2.

I havent found any faults with the product so far. It served it's needs as a replacement and has outperformed the HP charger in every way.

I normally just buy the cheapest replacement available, thinking it doesn't matter, but in the future, I'd buy PWR+

Correct HP Model Number when ordering

BE CAREFUL!!!!! These folks make great products, but be very careful about specifying the full HP Model because the M7 Series, for instance, has different power interfaces. You can find the complete model number inside the battery case.

I have a new HP Envy laptop and wanted an extra laptop charger so I didn't have to haul mine back-and-forth from work and home. I had already tried my local electronics retailer, but they did not have the correct charging tip for my new laptop. I found this charger on Amazon and it works perfectly. Great price and great charger!

Very impressed! Fast delivery and great working product. I bought this not to replace the charger that came with my laptop but add convenience of use. Now when I pack up my laptop I just unplug it and leave this charger at work. I would recommend buying two... nothing is worse than not having the laptop charger with you and having to complete a project. Until I purchased this charger I found myself driving around looking in the last place I had it.

My computer seems to know that I'm not using a HP charger and sometimes will pop up a box saying that it suggest a real HP Charger. I could buy three of these for the price of what they claim is a real HP charger. Performance has not been affected by using this charger and is a great deal for the price.

I've been using my Pwr+ adapter for many months now with great performance. It's small light weight & came complete with the correct adapter. That's something that not every supplier has gotten right. I bought at least two other units from other suppliers who advertized the correct adapter only to cause me to receive the wrong size adapter plug & have to return them.

Pwr+ got it right! And I found the web site easy use with excellent descriptions & pictures of the adapters -very helpful.

Works. Not as Green as HP Model - and how to get rid of annoying HP charger pop up.

Working great so far on my Envy 15t. Has the right angle connector that most others don't which is also nice.

I bought the 90 watt model hoping it'd be smaller than the 120 watt model.That said it doesn't get hot.

First note that your laptop will only draw what it wants. So a 120 watt likely won't charge any faster if it's rated for a 90 watt model - though *perhaps* your battery could charge while using heavy graphics. Indeed if you plug in a Kill a Watt on say my 15T on normal use it'll only show about 45 or so.

I like the long cord model for my travel and out-n-about pack.

Note that this model is 90 watt as in listed amps x listed volts. That's "Volt Amps" and not watts. VA and W are equal only if the supply is "Green" and has "100% Power Factor (correction)". The HP charger does - this PWR+ does not .

So on "non graphics use" my I7 15T uses 45/45 on the HP and 45/70 on the PWR+ ; so it's already close to its' "90" rating. With Heavy nVidia Graphics the HP charger is 89/89 and this one is more like 70/89 (so while it's limiting it's not clear the laptop is getting as much power as it might want). This is an area (?) where the 120 watt may come in handy - heavy graphics use. So this works fine form my non graphics heavy purpose and the 61% power factor (non green) is OK (or nothing special). Just know it's not truly 90 watts capable.

You can get rid of that annoying HP pop up with some computer fu . On my 7/2015 Envy 15t on 8.1 do the following: With the popup dismissed (for no inuse warning) open the file manager and go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\HP System Event" . Right click on "SmrtAdptr.exe" and select Rename. Change the name to anything different - I used "SmrtAdptr.Disable.exe" If you're not confident you can do this then ask your son or daughter to do it for you :)
