I usually don't give 5 stars, but this item deserves them. I was searching for a charger for my Dell laptop. The one from Dell website is very expensive. Amazon is full of Dell chargers, but if you read the reviews, they all have some comments saying that's it's a fake Dell product. Some even with fire hazards. So I was afraid of buying one of them.. until I realized that instead of buying a fake Dell, it's better to buy a charger that doesn't fake anything. It's a replacement charger, it's not made from Dell. But it's made even better than the Dell one! Seriously.
It has a longer cable and the plug is a bit better and stronger than the original.

Just arrived, Works fine, no problems on Dell latitude E5500.

A few weeks ago my original Dell power brick gave up.

The laptop said it does not recognize it, please insert an approved 90 watt adapter.

I did the sniff test, it smelled like it let out the magic blue smoke. It also irritated me as I could not open it up, just to see what failed.

Now, I have a PWR+ Car adapter that has been working perfectly for 2.5+years now, seeing a LOT of use, and it had been the only power source for the laptop since the original AC power brick failed. I did replace the provided ciggy plug on it though as the original one was not getting a secure enough connection and was heating up

I could have ordered the 'original' Dell power supply for about the same price but with no free shipping. At least the picture it showed looked the same as my original, but the many reviews here say what arrived was not an original.

With my good experience with the PWR+ 12VDC car adapter with the ciggy plug, I figured there would be no issues.

I ran my battery down to dead, plugged in this new adapter, and it was recognized instantly, is charging fine while writing this.

I have a Prime account. I ordered it last night about 7 PM. It arrived about 11:30 am the next day.

This is by far the fastest shipping on any item I've ever ordered.

The power brick is in the middle of the 14 foot cord. The original flat 3 wire AC/wall outlet cord from Dell will NOT plug into this new power brick. The original power brick had a bright blue halo light around at the tip which plugs into the computer.

This unit has no light in the same place, of which I am thankful as I taped over the light on the original. However the light on the power brick itself is the same blue, and very, very bright.Read more ›

I have used my Dell N6400 laptop for four years. It's fast and dependable however the charger/power supply died. After checking out numerous online option and finding that some where were pricey but that most of the descriptions were so general or lacking it was hard to really know they would have the correct connector for my Dell model and the correct power specifications required for my particular Dell.
The great thing about these are they listed my exact model but also the power specs. All Dell's are not the same, some require higher power needs and come with different connector. Beside having well written descriptions they work beautifully. It quickly recharged my laptop and has been woking like a charm, got here on time - all with a great price for its quality.
