Perfect Replacement Charger (Toshiba Sat. L745-S4210)

First let me answer the question you may be asking yourself "Will this work for my laptop?" In short, if they have your model listed in the product description, it will work.

I have a Toshiba Satellite that's a few years old and it's my go to when I need to go from work to home or vice versa. So when I plugged it in one morning and it wouldn't power on I thought the battery must be the issue, I removed it, followed guides, etc. Nothing worked. Then I noticed when I accidentally tapped the power brick it sprang to life for about 10 minutes.

Knowing that the charger was the problem was a much easier fix. I looked at prices and read reviews and finally settled on the Pwr+. The one thing that made it stand out besides the price and reviews was the fact that it reaches 14 feet! It was an issue with my old charger but one I didn't think there was a fix for besides an ugly extension cord.

I ordered it, got it quickly, and it's worked like a charm since I've bought it. I'll definitely be purchasing another Pwr+ adapter the next time I need one.

Great Price, Doesn't Overheat

This is a great replacement power adapter. It has actually been working better than the original power supply that came with my laptop. It doesn't get too hot, which is great because I bought another one before that did made my laptop shut off unexpectedly. I give it 4 stars out of 5 because I had an Anker power supply for my laptop before that worked better. Sadly, my Anker adapter got messed up when I plugged it into a badly-wired outlet in a foreign country. The Anker always managed to stay cooler than this one does. But this one has never gotten too hot or caused my laptop to malfunction.

Better than the original. I am very satisfied. The original came with a straight plug, and this replacement has the right angle plug, which is safer and makes more sense. I was tempted at first to go for cheaper options, but the quality of manufacture and construction is quite evident in this unit. I look forward to it lasting for the remaining life of my aging computer. I was really surprised to see it on my doorstep only 2 days after I ordered it.

Full disclosure - I was contacted and offered a second one for an UNBIASED opinion. I had not given thought to reviewing it otherwise, but I don't believe my rating would have been different.

Lots of the other reviews mention length which is nice but the main benefit to me has come with the way the adapter plugs in to the computer. You can see in the picture it plugs in at more of a perpendicular angle than straight out. My old adapter was damaged due to my wife sitting next to me and on the cord near the plug causing the plug to bend. After that point my laptop would not receive power from it (this still happens occasionally with my new cord but I think it is my computer plug now being bent rather than the reviewed product). With the angle of this product this is not only far less likely to happen but also results in the cord being less in the way for how I use my laptop (on the couch).

A fewish months in and happy.

This is a great replacement adapter for a Toshiba Satellite laptop. It worked great for the nearly nine months that I had it so far. But however there are 2 issues people may have with it. The plug is not as tight in the port as the OEM adapter and while durable for the most part, I dropped the adapter 9 inches off my bed while moving it and the case cracked in half along the seams. It still works but because its an safety issue I will be buying another one. I'm hoping it was just a fluke that it cracked without much force. Had no problem before then. Also for the first 10 to 15 hours of use it would get hot if I didn't lay the adapter flat. It wasn't hot enough to start a fire but enough to make you think about how and where to place it. But even with those issues it still gets a 5 star from me because it works....WELL!!!

I should give a 1 star review for Toshiba because this charger is much better than the original one. In fact the quality it's not comparable. It seems to be really reliable, it offer more protection than the stock one and I am sure it's going to last a lot but time will give us the verdict.

In the meantime, shame at Toshiba!

Note: I'll buy a second one for my other laptop which is Toshiba too, the original one is not dead but I like the extra protection and quality that the Pwr+ is showing to have!
