A mediocre but suitable replacement.

Full disclosure I have only used this product for one week. I read a great deal of reviewers complaining that this product got hot. You know their reviews were dead on correct. This one does get hot. However the original HP model that came with my hp g60 model was just as hot. I bought this partially out of spite. large companies like HP or Apple want you to buy their product at 4-5 times what would be necessary for a sufficient profit.
Performance: This product has performed equally to the original HP charger.

Seller: No joke, i ordered the regular shipping option and it arrived in 2-3 days.

One hot product!

I bought this chord about 2 weeks ago. Yes, it got hot. Like fry an egg on it hot. I could deal with that, by not leaving it plugged in while I was away. It breaking in only a couple of weeks wasn't something I was pleased with. It just stopped charging the laptop.

Really, is it that hard to build a power chord for a laptop? We shoot people into outer space, have cell phones that can run our daily lives, but no one seems to be able to make a power chord that works for more than 9 months.

I don't recommend this chord. Very disappointed!

The "official" HP power adapter was about 55 USD. This one was 8.34 and free shipping. You couldn't beat that. Standard shipping is 5-7 days, I got this adapter in 2. Works wonderfully. No problems with it yet (had it for 3 months now). The only downside to this product is the cord is shorter than the original. This one is only about 7 ft. The official one is about 11. I can live with 4 less feet for saving about 50 dollars.

Tl;dr:
Awesome product. Get it.

Not a good cord for a replacement

I bought this cord and not even 2 hours later I discovered that the cord must have been defective or cheap. I wouldn't recommend this cord as a replacement considering I had to send my cord back and get a new one anyways.
