ordered from sources wide. once the charger arrived i noticed it wasnt the PA3822U-1ACA adapter. so i was angry and emailed sourceswide telling them its the wrong item. they replied quickly telling me "its compatible , use the product with pride".. when i plugged it into computer it worked, so i sent another email saying ok its working. february 4th it stops working. friend of mine that repairs computers tested the charger for me the other day with volt meter tester thing to determine how much voltage it had it would only read 1-2 volts. i figured since it wasnt the the item described PA3822U-1ACA that it wouldnt last long.. why advertise a specific charger ONLY to send a supposed to be compatible one? dont try and save money buying this charger listed here like i tried to do.. just pay extra and buy the exact one needed, and email the seller ahead of time making sure its the one listed and not the "COMPATIABLE" one that will work for about a month. THANK YOU SO MUCH SOURCESWIDE you're a great seller , great way to sell compatible s***. thanks alot!

Specs are correct and product works great. But product does not exactly match as shown in picture.

I bought this since I needed an additional adapter for my Toshiba Satellite laptop. My original adapter only requires 45W (19V and 2.37amps). However, after some reading, I found out I mainly need to make sure the voltage matches and that it supported at least 2.37amps. Fortunately, this AC adapter does meet this. This adapter provides 60W. My laptop will only draw the 45W necessary for use/charging.

Product does lose 1 star because the picture does not match the product. Even though the connector from the adapter to my laptop fits perfectly, it does not match the picture. My original adapter that came with my laptop looks exactly like the one shown in the product picture with the angled laptop connector and only 2 prong (no ground). The one I received has a "straight" connector to the laptop. This may or not be a big deal to some people. Also, the part that connects into the wall is 3 pronged (with ground).. and it's a 3 connector into the adapter as well.

Besides the product not matching the one shown in the picture, mechanics-wise, it works great. The adapter is only slightly warm when in use.. and is cool when the laptop is not plugged in... I still keep the adapter plugged into the wall even when I do not have the laptop connected.

It's not the same thing as the original. The one I need is 2.37A, this is 3.16A, but its with the same model number and part number. This item also has a different plug at the end. Too small for my laptop. It's the same voltage, but wrong amp, and wrong plug. Y'all need to get your specs right! no its not for a PA3822U-1ACA, at least that's what my adapter said

Well...yes, it's a Toshiba power cord...but the original was a 2-prong, and they sent me a 3-prong. Did not notice when I went to use it for the first time with my 2-prong extension cord, which was a hassle. Also, it tends to spark when I plug it in. Other than that, it works and does what it's supposed to.

The product is not exactly as pictured--in particular, the connection between the two halves is 3-pronged, not 2-pronged as shown. I had seen people complain that the cord was rather short (which it is) and was hoping I could substitute the working half of my old cord, which was longer, but unfortunately the connection is the wrong type. My only other issue with it is that the connection with the laptop tends to work its way loose (I'm not sure why) and needs to be pushed back in every once in a while.

I wasn't going to write a review, then I read some of the horrible reviews on this product. This is a power cord. It worked great. It is incapable of transmitting a virus. It carries a certain load of AC electricity to the laptop battery. If the laptop is suddenly charging slower, that is the battery.

I even saw a one star review because the cord was too short...really?

This is a power cord. If the box burns up, you have a valid complaint.
