Exactly what I was looking for

I ordered this product after an extensive search of lap desks. It is not the most inexpensive, but it has all the features I need: comfort when used on my lap, large enough to hold my 17" wide screen laptop, a cooling fan which seems to work pretty well (my laptop is a heat-generating engine!) and a mouse pad/extension. The bottom cushion is removable, presumably if you want to use it on a table top, but I bought it for lap use. The front lip, as well as the non-skid edges, prevent the laptop from sliding off. It is relatively light, but feels and looks well-built and sturdy. The adjustablility is a nice added feature. This suits my particular needs and I would recommend it.

I have a 17" Macbook Pro which I mainly use while sitting up in bed and this stand holds it perfectly at all angles! I love the fact that there is a fan as well as an open "hole" to help vent air. Keeps my Mac running cooler than it ever has (that's right, no Mac burn!) I don't use the mouse pad but it's awesome that it's detachable and doesn't need to be sticking out all the time. I would recommend this lap desk to anyone, wouldn't change a thing!

At this time I use this with my dell Inspiron mini netbook. love it! it is solid, the handle is nice, It works well at many angles. I use it on the desk or table, on the arm of my recliner, on my lap or even my stomach. The fan works great to keep it cool, even on my lap in 80+ temps.
Con: A bit tricky at times to un hook (or whatever) the attached inside stand and get it flat and closed. Not a big problem just one I wish were not there at all.
That said, would get another one.

I've had a couple of laptop desks and they just didn't seem to hold up to my expectations. Plus my laptop gets hot and none of the prior ones had a fan. So I looked at the reviews for this one and they were generally great. It looked like a solid piece with a fan and mouse area so I took a chance on this one. All I can say is that this exceeded all of my expecations and this laptop desk is just awesome.
Everything folds down so it fits in my backpack bag. The mouse board stows easily and neatly within the case. The fan has a chord that attaches to your laptop for power and the chord stows neatly behind the fan. What I didn't realize is that while the pictures show it with a soft cushion I didn't realize that it just velcro's on, which is great for when I'm at clients and want things raised up a bit. The fan is more than enough to keep my laptop cool to the point that the fans on my laptop don't come on at all.
This desk is just right in so many ways. I honestly can't think of anything that I would change.

I am really happy with this lapboard. It has really thoughtful design - it's like a swiss army knife in all the features it packs together, and pretty darn good construction. And it's pretty inexpensive on top of that. I love the detachable mouse pad and the fan keeps the laptop cool. It does seem to drain the battery pretty fast, but that's to be expected since you can't fight physics. I ran video on my macbook pro which normally heats up the bottom quite a bit, and this fan kept it much cooler on the bottom. Check out my pictures up top.

This product does exactly what it says. My laptop would overheat rapidly due to the location of the fan and after an hour of use on my lap I would have to let it cool down a bit. When I got this product I used my laptop for 3 hours straight and it did not overheat at all. It is also very comfortable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Definitely worth the price.

Keeping cool with your laptop

My laptop gets extremely hot and after much research and reviews from others on Amazon, I went wih he Aidata Laptop Cooling Lap Desk. I definitely made the right decision. I have had one other in the past which cannot compare with this one. It has a beanbag bottom, really keeps my laptop cool as well as my legs!! I like the tray for the mouse. You will not be disappointed with this choice.
