Not for a student professional

I'm a 2L law student. I have a lot of books. This does not cut it. I received the bag today, will be sending it back tomorrow. Cannot recommend, definitely not keeping it. I also think for what I got, it was priced about 20% too high, assuming my stuff fit the bag.

Quality Flaw: I'm starting with this, because it was the ultimate nail in the coffin on this bag. I'm including a picture. I pulled back the flap inside the bag that covers the framework for the handle, and you can see the grommets for the bottom of the case. Not only is one damaged (see the portion of metal missing), but some of the rivets do not look like they're going to hold up, one is completely rusted, and all the others have started rusting. Guessing that's why you see a silica packet they included. Doesn't look like it did its job. I would guess this area would get much much worse over a year's time.

Front pouch: Entirely too small to hold much of anything, in my opinion. Yes, it will hold a few pens and business cards. Beyond that, I think you're out of luck. It has more little compartments than it will be able to hold items. I know if I was keeping the bag, the only thing I would end up using that section for would have been a phone charger/usb cables.

Interior: Two or three days a week I need to take at least a couple of moleskine planners, three large textbooks and a 3-ring binder on campus with me. Usually, my laptop and another binder, plus a notebook, are added to that. Obviously a backpack would kill my back, which is why I need something that rolls and has room. Great Protective and Easy to Roll Laptop Case

I love this laptop case! It is so lightweight but strong. It is made of the same material that my luggage is so it is very expandable. I do not have any luggage with a handle but now I want one all-purpose one. The handle that you can use to pull it slides down and disappears into the case. I am having a lot of back problems lately so I need something to put my laptop in and not have to carry it. Just the lightest thing for me to carry makes my back hurt so this is a great solution.
There a great pad to protect your laptop and it is part of the case so it will not get lost. Also there is place on the back of the case to put you name and address. You will be able to stash something else in the area where the laptop goes. I am thinking of putting a sweater there because I get cold easy.

The two wheels are made of plastic and they move easily. Also the top part has a wrap around with velcro so that you can secure all the straps.

Explore the case when you receive it, there are so many places that you can put notepads, pencils, papers, you name it and not have to worry about them falling out. It would definitely be plus at an airport but I am thinking the future car trips that I will be making. This case is going to make my life a little bit easier.

Decent laptop rolling case priced appropriately

This rolling laptop case is basically a decent product; nothing particularly special. It feels a bit heavy (and so you’ll be inclined to use the wheels), and the telescoping handle a little less sturdy than you’d like.

I tested the case in an unusual way: since I don’t have much of a need for what it’s really intended—carrying a laptop, papers, files, books and writing instruments to business meetings or school classes—I used it for an overnight business trip involving a couple of flights, auto rental, and lots of walking. In other words, the case got a good workout. It rolled over walkways and streets, bounced over curbs, went up and down escalators and elevators, was thrown into a car trunk, and jostled around a hotel. In it I had packed an MS Surface Pro 3, a file folder with papers, a Kindle, a couple of chargers, a magazine, some pens, a change of clothes, a sweater, a pair of slippers, toiletries and shaving kit (still can’t get a safety razor through airport security), a few small gifts, a tin of Altoids (“Curiously Strong Mints”), and a large apple. I pretty much maxed out the case’s space. It worked out well, but I point out again that the case wasn’t really intended for use like that.

The material is fine; what you’d typically expect in luggage these days. The zippers buckled a little with the load I described above, but they were not damaged. I’m a couple of inches short of 6 feet; I think if I had been any taller the telescoping handle would have been too short. There’s a Velcro strap inside to secure your laptop, which is great unless you need to remove your laptop for airport security (register for TSA Pre and you can avoid that).
