As usual the battery got to me on time, as with all my purchases from Amazon. Plugged it in and charged it overnight and it worked great, got 6 hours first time before I recharged it. It has been working well since then, I have no complaints so far, it is a good substitute, cost less than the original Dell and with 18 month guarantee, I am happy, thanks to Anker and Amazon.

Worked for about a month, then completely died...but got a replacement

When I first got this battery, it had about 75% charge on it. I let it use that before charging it for the first time. Everything was working fine for about a month....charges were lasting just over 3 hours as I expected they would. Then it stopped holding a charge...not even 1%. The biggest bummer is that it died a day or two after the return policy expired. I was hoping to get a good replacement battery, but just wasted money not getting something name-brand. I don't think I can recommend based on my experience.

Update - I was able to get a replacement battery as it was under warranty. So far it is working well. Hopefully I don't run into the same issue as the first battery.

Perfect Fit and Works Well

I have a Dell Vostro 1320, and it seems to go through a battery about every two years or so. I don't take very good care of batteries, so this is certainly expected.

=== The Good Stuff ===

* The battery was an excellent mechanical fit. It dropped right into the slot, the little clips hold it securely, and there are no rattles or intermittent connections. The battery stays cool when charging and discharging, and the laptop seems happy. The battery gauge works as expected.

* The battery charge time is about what it was with the OEM battery. I get about 3 hours out of a single charge, which seems about right for the stated capacity of the battery.

=== The Not-So-Good Stuff ===

* Previous batteries had a little LED status indicator on the bottom of the battery which allows a quick check of charge remaining even if the laptop is not powered up. I miss that feature, but I can certainly live without it. I knew when I bought it that this battery did not have them.

=== Summary ===

The battery worked as advertised, and has given me a couple weeks of service so far. Generally, my experience with batteries is that if they last three weeks, they are good for three years-so I hope my luck holds. I did follow the manufacturers advice for complete charge and discharge for the first few cycles, but quickly reverted to my old "whatever" habits.

Faulty item just worked for 2 days

I bought the replacement battery because I wanted to give my old computer to my family in the Dominican Republic. I left the country two days after receiving the battery and this product worked properly for 2 days after that it started showing that the battery was not charging and if you disconect the charging cord from the computer, The laptop will die right there. I am so annoyed because i could not return the item due to being out of the country for 5 weeks plus cannot left the computer to my family without a battery at least a faulty one. I read the comments from Anker before ordering from them. But right now i am just extremely annoyed because I have to buy a new battery eventhough I just pay for a new one from this company-

I also noticed the battery started depleting charge faster, and finally, less than three months after the initial purchase, I am getting the message: "the battery is near the end of its' life." So much for "High Performance." This one is a dud.
