Using it every day now for 2 weeks, very happy so far no problems at all. My first MSI laptop and the quality is high! Love the metal build, feel, fit and finish, even how it comes packed and ship is first rate. You get the feeling of quality and care when you see, open, and set up the laptop. Setup is easy, and the thing boots in around 30 secs. The price was fair, better in many ways from all the laptops I've had before (4 in total), the hardware keeps getting more powerful and lighter as the price gets lower and lower.PROS; as I mention the quality of the build, but even more, I don't like the look of most gaming laptops. I like a professional looking laptop that secretly houses a performance monster inside. There's a little mojo in the design of the Apache series, but for most part the laptop looks classy and pro, and it kicks @$$ in gaming and performance. Have heard three negative things in review about the MSI Apache series laptops; the touch pad, the screen, and the fan noise. I did not find a problem with any so far. The touch pad feels great, looks great, and I have no response problems with it at all. Not sure why others mentioned it, because to date it's as good or better than all the ones I had on my previous laptops. Though! There is no scroll feature if that's important to you? But I find that a pain in the tuchus if you move over too far on a touch pad of that type, "I don't want to scroll dammit ! ", and besides I use a mouse most of the time. The screen looks awesome! No it's not an IPS but it looks beautiful, no complaints, your going to find its perfectly fine for the next 2-4 years until you upgrade again. The fan noise, yes you can hear it when it kicks on, or you ask it to kick on (push of a button, nice). But if your gaming you can't hear it with the headphones on.Read more ›

Excellent hardware for the price

Excellent hardware for the price, can't beat the price!! Battery on mine was terrible! After watching a DVD for one hour battery was down to 35%/
