As of 11/21/14, I have had my Transformer for nearly two months, and I am very pleased with my experience so far. Here are several things I liked to address in this review:

Complaints of other reviewers
-"the touchscreen is not accurate" - For this most part, I found the touch screen to be very responsive and accurate, with the exception of the touch keypad spacebar. I'm not sure where the issue lies, but there have been several instances where I was certain I tapped the spacebar, but no space appeared in my text. I consider this to be a very minor inconvenience, especially considering I use the keyboard dock if I plan to type something extensive.
-"the keyboard [dock] doesn't work" - Perhaps there are defective keyboards, but I can only speak for mine, and mine has worked great.
-"the keyboard is flimsy" - Granted the keyboard is plastic, it is a very sturdy plastic. You'd had be very careless to boa (let alone damage) it.
-"the battery won't charge" - Just like the complaints with the broken keyboards, this might be true for some, but mine has worked very well.
-"the touch pad mouse is clonky" - I am not a fan of touch pad mouses (mice?) in general, but I have had no real issues with the one provided.

Pros
-It comes with a decent keyboard dock, which includes a USB port.
-It runs on Windows 8.
-Microsoft Office is preinstalled (sans Outlook).
-Good for productivity.
-There is a micro SD slot.
-There is a front facing camera.
-Good battery life.
-THE PRICE!!!

Cons
-Speakers aren't too great.
-No rear facing camera.
-Power cord is short. An extension cord can rectify this problem, but who wants to carry one of those?

This thing is a dog. If you need a reliable little computer to "just work" out of the box, then forget it. Compromises on functionality for the price are fine, but the quality is just not there. Mine crashed when some USB devices were connected, crashed when the official ASUS VGA adapter was inserted, crashed about 1/3 of the time when the headphones were plugged in, didn't work in standby mode, and even in shutdown mode with a full battery it refused to turn on unless plugged in. It also hung the 3rd time I tried to plug in a micro HDMI cable - during a public lecture. All these problems are very well known and extensively discussed on the web. Some folks enjoy tinkering and some are on their 3rd or 4th T100. If you need to get 3-4 units to get one that works, how long will it last? And what is that as a quality standards - half a sigma? As a road warrior, I simply can't afford it. Stay away if you need something that just plain WORKS, without interminable discussions about windows incompatibility with the hardware design, system crashes, blue screen of death, power system faults and BIOS versions. It may be fun for a 17 yo kid who likes computers, but the quality is just not there for grown-up use.

This thing is A Freaking Masing.
I got one about a year ago for school, because my former laptop was too cumbersome.
These people rating it 1 2 or 3 start dont get what you get this for. Its not a Gaming Computer by any means. It is however a full windows tablet. You can install whatever you want on it. I have photoshop on mine.

There are a few problems that you have to deal with, but they are not issues for people that know what they are buying, I will list them in the pros and cons.

Pros:

Battery - This thing lasts 2 to 3 days without charging. I charged it in a hotel room, used it for 3 hours doing homework. I packed it up without shutting down, Drove home 9 hours, used it again for homework and media, still havent charged it again. Then i was super supprised to see that when i forgot to charge it the night, I pluged my phone into it and after the whole night, It charged my phone from 12% to 100% and still had 30% battery.

Screen - Sure its not 1080p, But it is really nice, plus 1080p on a 10 inch tablet is preposterous. it is 1368x768 and has an amazing pixel density.
Makes movies and games look great, I cant even see a pixel if I tried.

Keyboard - It has a detachable keyboard that has a full sized usb3 port. I have fairly big hands and I havent made any errors yet typing this review. the keys are membrane, and click well, they have about a 50% travel where the key is actually pressed about half way down. It also has a trackpad that supports gestures.

GPU - The GPU on this thing is supprising. I said before that it is not a gaming computer, but it sure acts like one sometimes. I can play all the indie games i want and it doesent break a sweat, but I also can play GarrysMod at 60fps on the lowest settings.

Virtually all of the good points (and the not so good) have already been made in other reviews here, but I would like to mention specifically that this unit has GPS. (Correction, ASUS says it does not) It does have an Accelorometer, Gyrometer, Inclinometer, and a Compass. (Note: if you don't know what some of them do, simply "search" on it and you'll get more information than you probably ever wanted.)

Most, if not all, of the Android and iPad Tablets have a GPS, Accelorometer, Gyrometer, Inclinometer, and a Compass but not all Windows Tablets do. Specifically, two 10 inch 2 in 1's, the Acer Aspire Switch 10 and the Lenovo Miix 10 do not include a GPS as of this writing. To me, GPS is a "must have" in a tablet - both Bing and Google Maps will use it, among other programs. Unfortunately, neither this model, the Transformer Book T100TAM and it's slightly bigger sibling, the T200TA, have built-in GPS.

Sorry for the confusion. See my reply in this review.

For what I consider the true tablet experience, in a 10" tablet, the T100TA series is a great product as long as one remembers it is not a high powered system nor is it a system designed for "gamers". If you want to enjoy the Windows 8.1 touch environment in a quality tablet at a reasonable price, this is it.
