Meets all your day to day needs.

I purchased this item on the Microsoft Store for the 12 days of Christmas sale.

The version I purchased was the signature addition so there was minimal bloat ware that came with the computer which is a big plus. My first impression is that it is a light stylish computer. The computer is very well built. It took about 10 minutes to get this computer up and running which is pretty damn quick. Once up and running this computer performs pretty damn well for the price. It's fast enough and has enough memory to do anything with it except for the advanced stuff like music/video editing, video gaming etc. but for all the regular stuff like browsing, downloading/listening to music, streaming, email etc. it is very adequate. The touch screen is very responsive and the 360 degree screen is a great compliment.

The only thing I would want to add to this computer and would actually make this laptop look better is a back-lit keyboard.

100% worth the price!

Amazing computer!!! It fit all of my expectations and more. Would definitely recommend. Very responsive touchscreen and starts up extremely fast. Very much worth the price. Only thing I would change is the charger. The plug part is bulky and the cord is really short. Other than that its really great!

Excellent laptop for your everyday needs. So far I haven't had any problems with it, however, I'm really impressed of the though construction and how lightweight it is. Somebody published that is too big to work as a tablet, I totally DISAGREE: it looks beautiful on your lap. This laptop has a stylish and attractive design, very good touch screen, great screen resolution (HD), very good sound (speakers); it is very fast (Intel processors are way better than AMD), it has a 10-finger multi-touch support which makes it very accessible to use through the touch pad; and its 360º flip screen, its battery life (over 5 hrs), all of this is not found in every laptop, and much less in that price...
It surprised me that it doesn't have a DVD/CD room, and it does not support it; you have to buy an external one. Besides that, I wish it had a back-lit keyboard. These are the downsides of this item, but not for that I'm not going to give 5 stars to this product. I spent a long time looking for a good laptop, affordable, reliable, with some specs according to my needs, and I can say this one is the best among MANY, I mean it! MANY...
I love it! And it's been a great investment.

Awesome laptop, windows 8 is meh

I love this laptop. I feel like my old laptop is a total price of crap now. The batter lasts as long as claimed. I get about 5 or so hours playing the sims. I haven't really officially tested it yet, but it's a long time. I hate plugging my laptop in because I don't want to leave it on too long and hurt the battery, but with this laptop I rarely have to charge it.
The touchscreen is responsive and even works with my crappy dollar stylus.
The only problem I have is with windows 8.
I hate windows 8. It made me sign up with Microsoft and sometimes won't let me download things that are harmful to my computer, but that's what anti virus software is for lol.
The wifi rumor hasn't happened to me. The wifi works great. I think it's because I always download my windows updates as reccomended.
It feels very well built. The metal is very expensive feeling.
The laptop is a little more than an inch thick when closed.
I'm a very weak girl and I could lift this laptop with one hand, however I'd get tired soon lol.
The 15.6" screen is not good for carrying around in your bare hands. I suggest getting a case. The waterfly cases are very good.

Excellent computer, very fast, love the 360 degree flip, the structure is made so well built is tougher than any other laptop I owned, and I owned 4 in the past. Nice slick thin design and very lightweight. Only negative thing I have to say ( but its not really a big deal and dosent do it all the time) is that the key pad letters/numbers seem to not always work. I learned I need to press them hard for them to work better. But other than that this machine is GREAT. The 1.9 Ghz seems much faster, more like a 2.6 or something lie that. I totally recommend this item!!!

very nice, fast laptop for general purpose use. not clear that the tablet part makes sense, as it's too big and heavy at 15.6 inches. i have another similar laptop with a slower processor, but this one -- particular because it is a signature edition without bloatware -- beats the pants off the other. i am a normal home/home office user, and apart from the fact that this is rather heavy, it is a great laptop. the metal construction is good and appears more sturdy than some, but it also is a fingerprint magnet.

Well worth the price

One week of use: So far great for the money. I purchased this primarily for use as a tablet for reading textbooks with the ability to use a regular keyboard when needed. As I also have a high-end ultrabook that functions as a desktop replacement, I didn't need something totally future-proof with the newest i7 or dedicated graphics card. For the price, it fulfills its functions much better than I anticipated. Convenient, hardly any bloatware (besides the windows stuff), attractive case. 6 stars for the price point.
