Almost Perfect

I did not buy this laptop from Amazon. I bought it from Best Buy for $450. These are my first impressions; I will update as time goes on and I do more stuff with this laptop.

Pros:
- Battery: It has a decent life span, haven't tested it under all conditions yet. It's removable which is a big plus given so many laptops lately don't have removable batteries. This will lengthen the lifespan of the computer.
- Processor: An i5 that ranges from 1.6 GHz to 2.3 GHz. It's fast, and it shows.
- RAM: 4GB of memory handles things pretty well. I'm going to try upgrading later on.
- Startup is fast: Coming out of sleep takes two seconds or less. It's almost instant, really. Powering on is also insanely fast.
- Screen: Good resolution, crisp picture.
- CD/DVD RW drive: So many laptops these days don't have a drive.
- Two USB 3.0 Ports: Usually you have more 2.0 ports than 3.0, but this is the exception. It's obviously built for the future, and USB 3.0 ports also support USB 2.0 so you can still use your old tech.
- HDMI Port: A nice addition.
- Quiet: Seriously. It makes barely a sound at all. I only ever hear anything if I hold it really close to my ears.
- Slow to Heat: Great heat dissipation.

Cons:
- Keys/Screen: The keyboard is raised a bit too high so that, when closed, the keys touch the screen. This leaves marks, though they can be wiped off. If you aren't careful you could scratch the screen if it's closed too quickly.

Great Notebook!!!

I bought mine from Best Buy. I upgraded the RAM to 8GB and replaced the HDD with a SSD. Runs super fast a lot of times in excess of 2.5GHz. Picked mine up on sale for $379. It was a steal at that price. Reply with any questions. Great Notebook!!!

No Repair: No Customer Service: No Computer

Please, please, please if you plan to buy this lap top, do not buy it from Best Buy. I have owned it for lest than a year. I have had to have it fixed both online and in the store. I also have Geek Squad Protection, On July 31, 2015 after spending over half a day with the Geek Squad trying to fix it remotely. The Geek Squad Tech told me that he could not fix it. That I should call the ASUS ask them to send me some kind of disk and then take the Computer to Best Buy to have them fix it. Oh I forgot to mention that Best Buy had it from June 25 to 27 "fixing it."
I don't download music, or videos. I use this for work. The most exciting kind of things on this computer are Word Documents. When I attempted to take it to the Best Buy Geek Squad. I was told that July 31 and August first a Tax Free days and that they were helping customers in the store that were trying to buy new computers. I have written and called their Head Quarters. On Monday I will continue my quest to get it fixed.
I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER ASUS COMPUTER. Maybe I just got a lemon, but I would strongly suggest that you look at all options in this price point before buying it. I saw that some of the people have not owned it a year yet.

Very good PC, have a good core I5 for a cheap Price, 4gb of ram is good, but you can increase to 8 gb if you want. The keyboard is confortable, touch pad response in perfect way, the screen have a good size and excelent definition quality, the battery life is more longer tan other laptops, the weight is light.

The only problem is that not have a card warranty, so if oyu have to active this, you can't do it.

If you want to buy a cheap and good laptop, buy this!

Very disappointed - SUPER slow since the day I received it.

Very frustrated with how slow this laptop is. I have only had it for about 8-9 months, and since the day I bought it I've been utterly confused with how terribly slow it performs. I have an older HP Pavilion G5 that is ancient compared to the specs on this, yet can perform the same functions more efficiently with noticeably faster results.
I'm also very disappointed in the design - the keys feel cheap, the trackpad is probably one of the worst I've experienced on a laptop, and the overall logic in layout is odd. Examples would be the trackpad not being centered on the laptop (creating an awkward experience when using mouse and typing), the "function" key being required to hold in order to turn volume up and down and do other core actions, and also the placing of the "turn off trackpad" button (WHY is there one??) right next to the mute button.

This laptop boasts an i5 intel processor, but really does not show it. I would not recommend this laptop to anyone.

Affordable Netbook

What I love about this PC is that I got it for a much affordable price and yet my processor is already on iCore5. Its fast, I love it's clear resolution since it's already on HD, its easy to carry and the color gives it a professional look. It doesnt heat and battery's lifespan is good as well, it can last up 6 hours of use based on my experience. If you're looking for a laptop that best suits your budget and get high quality, you might want to buy this!
