The size, weight and look is very nice. Maybe it was just me not reading but there was no disc drive on this laptop and I thought that was standard on these devices. However, I did receive 8.1 Windows disc to load.... can't figure that one out. Anyway... I guess I need to get use to the keys because I'm typing an either I'm missing keys or they'r sticking. Constantly have to retype words.... I'm a pretty good typist. Not much info out there for the B50, plenty for the G50. Should have researched more; got caught up in Prime Day.

This laptop arrived early and that was a good thing. Like the free Pen light. The laptop itself works well and is everything stated on the listing was accurate. I really like using this computer for my online activity, Video editing, and some graphics for my website. It is worth the price. The laptop does not have a DVD Drive. However, I knew that and have an external one that works great with this laptop. The Card reader and all of the ports works great.This transaction and the test I have done says: Good product , great price, and works well.

It does NOT come with an optical drive.
AND YOU CAN'T ORDER ONE FROM LENOVO!
The part number for the optical drive for the B50 series is 25215010
It is used in the B50-30, B50-70, and B50-80.
This model the B50-45 has a plastic insert in the drive bay. Inside the bay are a SATA connector, and a power connector.
If you are able to utilize a network to load any software you may use then it'll be ok for you, if not look elsewhere.

Great value, but didn't fair well on Windows performance ratings. Easy to set up and we'll built. Was listed as prime initially, but took over a week to arrive. No longer listed as prime - don't expect it to ship overnight. Graphics trains were disappointing (per Windows). Nice screen with good contrast and brightness, good battery performance.
