Very suprised at how good this is!

After 2 years of heavy use, my factory Acer battery was ready for a replacement. My laptop is an Acer Apire 5741G. According to CPUID Hardware Monitor, my battery could only hold 14137mWh of charge, where it was designed to hold 47520mWh. My battery would not charge past 69%, and I had a 58% wear level.

This replacement battery was an excellent value. Immediately after inserting it, it would charge up to 46926mWh out of a designed 47520mwh, and windows would show a full 100% charge, and only a 2% wear level. After a month of usage, it is still able to charge up to 46926mWh (verified today).

Subjectively, it seems to last 3x longer than my old failing battery. And at this price, I was expecting a poor replacement, but I was very surprised. If you are looking for an Acer replacement, get this!

5.5 hours life with a 17.3-inch screen

This battery, so far, has performed as well as the OEM version at one-third the price. The computer has an i5-2450M processor with 6 GB RAM and a conventional 750 GB HDD.

I've had it both ways with third-party batteries. This one is a winner. I'm writing this on 5/21/2012. If any problems come up, I'll report. If you don't see a follow up to this, assume no problems!

Buy at your own risk...

I had high hopes for this battery, I really did so as with all new rechargeable batteries you get, you're supposed to fully drain it and then recharge completely at least 3 times so that it gets the best memory. The first time I drained it and recharged it completely, it only charged to 83%, the second time I drained it and recharged it, it only charged to 75%, the third time it only charged to 64% and that's when I decided it was time to return this POS and replace it with a newer one. I'll right another review when I get the new one.
