Will not work with an HP DV6

Although the battery fit my HP Pavillion DV6 3160us, the battery is not the one pictured in the listing. This battery has the cells arranged so that they stick out the back just far enough so that the laptop screen won't open far all the way. The battery pack was flat, and not with the "hump" in the picture that would place the extra cells under the laptop. Add this to the extra tilt that any 9 cell battery will give you, and the result is that the only way you can see your screen is if the laptop was above your head! I returned it and did not even bother to see if it lasted as long or longer that the 6 cell that came with the laptop. In short, it does not match physically with an HP MU09 or what is pictured here.

Update. The seller, who provided the battery to Amazon contacted me and I had taken photos of the battery installed in my HP DV6 Laptop to demonstrate how the new battery impeded the cover from opening. They compared it to the specs of there recent batch of batteries and found that it did not meet the specs of what they had ordered! Not only did they credit back my purchase price promptly, and apologize for any problems, but acknowledged via email how helpful my photos were in helping them with this issue. Its rare to get Customer service like that, so I am upgrading to 4 Stars for this seller. Wouldn't hesitate to purchase from them again.

Did not work for G72

Fit laptop but kept saying, "plugged in, not charging." I updated the BIOS, uninstalled the old battery, and tried restarting it in various ways without the battery and with the battery, but nothing worked to make my laptop recognize this new battery. After reading other reviews, it looks like it doesn't work for the G72. The return was great and went really smoothly.

The service of the seller was great. The shipping was prompt. The price was right. The battery could charge for at least five hours. I am overall happy with it. One thing I don't like is the shape. It wasn't exactly the shape of my original one. So my laptop can not sit flat on the the desk now. Also there were 2 occasions that I couldn't start up my laptop after I changed the battery. I had to detach then reattach the battery to start my laptop.
