My Laptop is portable once again!

I finally broke down and bought a new battery for my Toshiba Satellite M105. The original battery became quite useless, it would last maybe 10 mins, if that long! At one point, the laptop would ignore the fact that it was plugged in to the wall, continued to "use" the battery then turn off once the battery ran out of power. Quite annoying. So I took the battery off and tossed it to the side, used the Laptop like a Desktop. I wasn't sure if it was the battery and/or the motherboard so I didn't bother to get a battery as the laptop worked when plugged into the wall. When the batteries came down in price, I decided to get a replacement battery to see what would happen.

The laptop is portable once again! Works fine, lasts about 2 hours, as did the original battery initially. The Laptop still has an issue, when the battery is below about 50% (the threshold may be lower), you have to make sure the laptop doesn't stop randomly charging the battery. If it does, you have to unplug the laptop then plug it back in. I've heard it's a known motherboard problem, not the Battery. So I give this 5 stars, I really don't have a problem with the battery itself.

Battery last only 50 minutes

I purchased this battery as a replacement for my original one. This one last only 50-60 minutes on power saver so I don't recommend it to anyone. Better buy an original one.

Bad Manufacturing and Poor Service from Vendor MLC

BE CAREFUL. After receiving the battery from Amazon I tried installing it and it just would NOT slide in. Tried again and again. Pushed harder and finally decided I was going to damage the computer connectors. Could not figure out why it would not work. It looked identical to the old battery with the same side pieces, same size, same plug. After further inspection, I noted there was a very small gap between the 2nd and 3rd plugs on the connector and on the original battery it was at the other end. The plug that goes in the computer was installed upside down on the battery!

Sent it back and Amazon's good service took care of the problem, but it was a hassle, I didn't have my computer for use for a week and was afraid to purchase from MLC again as they might likely have an entire batch of bad batteries with the plug upside down.

I wrote to MLC and even took the time to send them pictures showing the manufacturing defect and all I received was a form letter to get a RMA from them (this was AFTER I had already used Amazon's return process). Ended up purchasing a battery on eBay for less in the end.
