Excellent, long lasting cooling pad!

I LOVE this cooling pad. It's the best I've ever used, and I've tried several as the actual fan in my laptop does not run well, even after being replaced, and the laptop being rebuilt last year. This means I have to have an excellent fan to make up for the shortcomings of the laptop one (not just to help keep my laptop cool after long use, but to function as an additional fan whenever the laptop is running at all). This pad has certainly met and exceeded those standards. Its very durable and long lasting. It's taken over three years of everyday, full-day use to go through my first one (it's actually still running, but not nearly as quietly or smoothly), and I'm about ready to buy my second one. The fan was quiet for almost the full three years. It's only in the last four months or so that its started to sputter and run at a slightly slower speed as if its dragging. I've travel quiet a bit with this cooling pad too, so its been packed, bumped, and knocked around a bit from being moved from one place to the other. It's sat on carpeted floor (often), my lap (constantly) as well as other hard surfaces: desks, tables, etc, and has always kept everything cool without any problems. Additionally, I love the non-slip pads as it keeps my laptop right where it should be, and the angle is perfect the way it sets. (I've had some cooling pads that are raised too high and cause issues with my wrists.) The fact that I can tuck away the USB cable for travel is an added bonus too. Overall, I'm looking forward to getting my new cooling pad, and the many years of use that I'll get from it. I highly recommend this product to anyone in need of a good, long lasting cooling pad at a reasonable price.

The BEST! COMPLETELY stops laptops from getting hot!!

I love this cooling pad...it's an excellent buy!!! I've tried so many different brands of cooling pads and none of them last very long. If you use your computer a lot, the motor in these cooling pads will die out. I've replaced quite a few of them and have been very disappointed. But if your system runs hot it's the only alternative. I have a 14.5 inch Gateway notebook and this Belkin works so well. I was used to the cooling units with 2 fans and was skeptical that this 1 big fan in the center would even do anything. It has cooled my computer better than anything I've ever tried and keeps it very cool. The motor is pretty strong. It's not whisper quiet, you can hear the light airflow when it's on...but it isn't bothersome or distracting at all.

The special wave design helps the air circulate better. Instead of having it completely flat, the center has a slight curve in it and the bottom is also elevated. I haven't had mine long, so I can't vouch for longevity....but everything about it is solid & built very well. It is not cheaply made. It's usb powered & also has 2 gripping pads on the top and bottom of the unit, so your laptop stays firmly in place and doesn't slip around. It also comes with a 2yr warranty from Belkin. Great for a student or anyone that works on their computer for long periods. COMPLETELY stops it from getting hot. The unit does not fit the length of your computer, it's not designed to and it will be a tad smaller. But it doesn't matter, because the air flow is directed exactly where it needs to. I highly recommend this brand & model. I have the black one pictured.

I chose this cooling pad because it pulls heat away from the computer instead of pushing air (and dust) into it. The pro's suggested finding a fan that does exactly that. I beat up my last one, so this is #2 and I love it.

Great laptop cooling fan that is doing exactly what it is supposed to be doing! My laptop was getting pretty warm because I work on it for 8 or more hours straight, and I really needed something extra to make sure there would be no major overheating. I'm so glad I got the Belkin CoolSpot Laptop Cooling Pad, because not only does it work, but it's very quiet, too. I haven't felt that "hot spot" below my left hand on the laptop since I plugged it in via the USB cable!

This little cooling pad is working great so far. I had such a tough time keeping my laptop from overheating. I was worried I would damage something and end up with costly repairs. So when I went looking for cooling pads and saw all the options I was a bit overwhelmed. Then I saw this one: low price, simple setup. How could I lose? If it stopped working like the other one I had I would only be out $14. So I got it and I can say I am very happy I did. It is a bit small for my 15" laptop but that does not matter as my laptop sits nicely right over the fan. I can rest the Belkin on my lap with no problems. It is quiet and keeps my laptop nice and cool. Great little cooling pad. Get one.

Protection thats afordable

I was on a visit to my sisters house, and complained that my laptop was getting to warm, and I worried about damage. She gave me her old Belkin cooling stand (model# F5L001) and it had a few of the blades broken or missing, but it would work until I get back home a purchase a new one. That was 6 months ago, and I'm still using it. I am GOING to purchase another new Belkin cooling stand. Its simple, inexpensive, and just what I need. I'm new to laptops, but highly recommend any cooling stand, to maintain longevity of your PC, but Belkin's my suggestion and choice.
