First impression: GREAT for my Eee PC 1000he netbook!

I just got this in the mail, and I am very excited about this backpack.

While this backpack looks simple (which is great), it really is a feature-packed backpack.

- There are pockets galore of every size you could imagine.
- The padding for the laptop is out of this world. Thick on both sides, while having a soft, felt liner. Great!
- A removable bag that fits my power cable, mouse, flash drive and all my computer accessories, but that slides into a the bottom of the bag form-fittingly. That's really handy. (see video)
- Cell phone/iPod pocket on the shoulder strap
- Music pocket on the back with headphone hole.
- It looks like the picture, meaning it looks REALLY cool!

This small bag can fit a lot of stuff and remain thin. It's incredible.

The only thing I wish I could do with this bag is have a sleeve for a water bottle, but that's a small thing that most don't even use.

Also, this bag IS made for 15.4" notebooks. I have a 10" netbook. The length of my computer (side-side) happens to be the same width as the sleeve, so my computer fits perfectly when I turn it. However, if you have anything in between, it won't be very form-fitting. (see video)

Great for my purposes

Everyone complaining about this bag being too small should have read the reviews before buying it. Yes, it is very "slim." I'm a college student and I had a large Targus backpack before this one, and that was just too large for my everyday needs. When I got this bag I was very surprised at how light it really was. The construction is great. The straps are well padded, and the back of the bag that rests against your back is also well padded. One of the straps has an elastic pouch on it to hold small items like a pack of gum or keys or whatever. It isn't easy to see though, and it lies flush with the surface of the strap when it's not being used. As far as storage goes. I can fit my laptop (a 15.4 inch MacBook Pro), a large textbook, a spiral notebook, a regular 2-pocket folder with stuff in it, 2 portable external hard drives with their USB cables, a pack of gum, 2 pens and pencils (there are only 2 actual pencil/pen holders, but you can use other slots for more), earbuds for my mp3 player,the apple remote for my laptop, and a couple other small things in the main compartment itself. Then in the secondary compartment I have my laptop power supply, the power supply extension cord, a 6-foot firewire cable, my iPod nano, and the iPod connector cable. In the side compartment (where the thin gray section is on the front of the bag in the picture shown) I can fit an audio cable (1/8" to 1/8"), another audio cable (1/8" to RCA stereo), and probably a few more thin things like that. and all of this stuff can go in this bag without over-stuffing or bulging. So, for being such a tiny bag, it can really hold a lot. I've been using it for 1 month now and it has been great. (no zipper problems, tears, or anything. which is what i expected anyway.Read more ›

pros and cons

pros: nice design, just right size, comfortable back and shoulder, looks very neat.

cons: too many useless small inside pockets and no partition, not a good backpack for books,

overall: if you need to carry notebook and small number of other stuffs, buy it. If you need to carry notebook as well as other books and notebooks, forget it.

Zipper WILL break!!!

I purchased two of these and within just a couple months of light use, the zipper broke...on BOTH bags! Because of the design, you cannot use the backpack once the zippers bust; everything will fall out. I was stuck at two different meetings having to carry my backpack in my arms. The design is nice, but without a functional zipper, there is no point to owning this bag.

...the zipper broke within a month and returning it was impossible. I'm not one to overstuff, so that wasn't the problem. Bad workmanship, flawed.

Great look, poor quality

I was initially very pleased with this backpack. I love the style, but the quality is pretty awful. One of the plastic adjusting straps broke just a couple weeks after I got it. I tried to submit feedback on it, but accidentally put it as negative seller feedback which was removed instead of directing me to post it as item feedback. It held up for about 8 months more before the zipper came un-stitched.

Great bag

I got this back because I don't carry a lot of stuff, but the trendy messenger bags were killing my neck and shoulder. This backpack is lightweight, holds everything i need in an organized way (plenty of compartments) and makes it easy to run for the bus. I also think it is stylish enough and professional enough to take to meetings with me (one of my criteria). Being a 5'3 woman I thought that the backpack might be to tall, but it actually is not an issue. Comfortable shoulder pads as well.
