Runs Hot,Lasted 2 weeks. Dead afterwards

I ordered this to replace my sister's laptop charger as it had died after 2 years of use. You get what you pay for is how the saying goes. The unit arrived on time which was the only good thing about it. It ran incredible hot. Hot enough to cause harm to human skin. It only lasted about two weeks before it completely died. I tested it before using it on the laptop with a multi-meter to make sure it was the right rating for the laptop.

I DO NOT recommend this product as you may risk purchasing more than once.

*Note- I did not attempt to contact the seller or manufacture of the product. For what the item costs. It is too much trouble for me to address it with them.

Worst Power Chord Ever

I want to be clear this is not a reflection of the seller. I got the product in a fast amount of time and the reurn refund as well. I got the power chord plugged it in and it stopped working after 3 hrs. Do not purchase this product just bite the bullet and buy the chord made by HP.

Overheating and it died after 2.5 months.

The charger worked after my original charger died, however it cycles from charging to not charging often. Bad quality. But I guess that's what you get for $10. I would return it but I don't have another charger and it at least works. Good for emergencies I guess. I didn't want to spend $50 on a brand name charger but I guess I will have to eventually or this charger might kill my laptop! The charger gets quite hot and the laptop is overheating as well.

Edit: Changing review from 2 stars to 1 star.
The charger is now dead. I believe this is due to overheating because the plastic on the power brick warped into a raised bubble.
DO NOT RECOMMEND. I was in a rush and looking for a cheap solution. I was not surprised that the charger died, however I'm sure the charger was not good for my laptop and I regret using it for so long.

Piece of Junk

As many other reviewers have commented, this product is a piece of junk. I know the price makes the purchase tempting, but in the end, it is NOT worth it. I was looking to replace my AC adapter for my HP Pavillion dv62000, and I searched amazon using the model number of my original charger. This was one of the products that came up, and at the time of purchase, the description said this product was compatible with my laptop model. This product only worked for four months, and it runs VERY hot. It is dangerous because the power brick gets so hot it can burn skin (and maybe even start a fire).

So, after the charger died, I contacted the company because this product is supposedly under a 12-month warranty - one of the other reasons why I ended up purchasing from this company. The only positive thing I can say about the customer service is that they were prompt in responding to me. Otherwise, they did not even bother to read the information I provided for them in my first email - they asked for some of the given information in their response. In the end, the company did not honor the warranty because I did not purchase a "compatible" charger. When I bought this product four months ago, the description included my model number. The description has since changed, giving the company reason not to fulfill their agreement to replace faulty products. I think a good company would have tried their best to satisfy the customer so that they would get good reviews and more business, but this company insists on being obstinate and unconcerned with the fact that they are selling a poor quality product.

So in summary:

DANGEROUS
NOT CORRECTLY ADVERTISED
DOES NOT HONOR WARRANTY

I would never do business with this company again, and I hope this review convinces other people to take their business elsewhere. In the end, you'll save time, money, and a lot of frustration. I'm going to just suck it up and buy from HP.

Buyer Beware - May be the wrong size

Buyer Beware! I ordered the exact model number as my existing power supply, but it was not the correct size for my laptop. The tip that goes in the computer is too large. I thought I would save money over ordering the original manufacturer replacement. I wonder how many wrong adapters this supplier has shipped?

Worked from the word "go"

Was a little concerned initially at the $1.99 price/$6.99 shipping. To my surprise the charger has worked from the word "go". I'm dependent on the AC adapter, until I replace the battery (next on list), while I'm on the road, plugging into any outlet I can find. The cord could be a little longer, more closely resembling the original but hey it was less then two bucks.
