I got home from my annual beach vacation and realized I had left my power cord at the beach house. This is a perfect replacement. It is a round cord, nice and heavy. No worrying about whether your laptop is getting enough juice. The fit into the power brick is excellent.

I was a little worried about buying a "cheap" replacement, but when this cord arrived I was pleased. I might order another to leave plugged in at my desk so i don't have to reach down to the surge protector anymore. If you need a replacement or are just thinking about buying another for convenience, go for it.

Fast Shipping, but Not as Pictured

Originally picked this item out of the others not only because of price but because of the depicted picture. This is NOT the flat cord as shown in the picture, the one delivered is rounded. While some may consider this just a cosmetic issue, I have found that the flat cords resist breaking at the ends much better than the rounded cords; which is the reason I picked this one. Just FYI if you are buying this because it is a flat type. Also while cheaper than the original store, these are just repackaged Monoprice.com cables, it says so right on the package.

Worked great

The cable was lost for my laptop so I looked around locally first. Only one I could find was used and did not work. Luckily the store took it back. So I decided to look online. Found this cable the price was the same as the used one I had purchased and $65.00 dollars cheaper then best buy, so I ordered it. It works great and my wife is happy her laptop works.

I was initially sent the wrong cables. When I informed Cables unlimited of the error, they were very easy to work with and overnighted the correct cables to me without any hassles. The product was just as described and although they made a mistake with the cables, they rectified it immediately. The cables were just as described.

Poor Quality

Item received doesn't look like picture. Instead of flat cord it is round. Bought it in April and by June it had pulled apart at both ends of plug.

Loose contact on charger side end

This is just second day of the use. Though the charger side female connector of the cable fits snugly, that end needs to be moved side to side for the electrical contact to take place. Otherwise, the charger does not work. I have my old cable that worked without this issue for more than two years!

Update: on fifth day of the use, there was a burning smell coming out from the charger side end of the cord. I have removed this cable and back to using my previous cord that came shipped with the original equipment. Earlier before this incidence, the seller has promised to ship a replacement cord. However, as all these reflect on the quality of the product, sharing here. How come there could be so many issues with such a simple product!?
