I received this item, free-of-charge, in return for a considered, unbiased review.

I've typically found Case Logic products to be ruggedly made, and usually cleverly designed. This backpack is no exception. I am someone who becomes almost emotionally attached to the tools that have served me well each day on my work commute, but I haven't looked back once at my old backpack since acquiring this one. Text in parenthesis usually denotes the typical contents of a compartment.

The highlights..

- Zippers (7 in all): all operate very smoothly, usually requiring just one hand. The partially covered teeth of this design makes each track disappear visually, yet the slide never seems to jam/stick. Excellent pulls, with small, vibrant green cords attached for visibility and grab-ability, AND shrink-tube covered ends, so they should never fray. You can tell at a glance if everything is securely closed.

- Main bag: firm padding for protection in the interior compartments (15" slim laptop). Comfortable, thick padding, under mesh, at the shoulder straps and along the raised rear back-riders to prevent sweaty-back-syndrome. The adjustable strap ends are held tightly against the main strap with strong, fabric loops that slide. This is a superior system to the plastic loops of some bags which can fail/shatter when accidentally caught by a corner - ask me how I know.

- Abundance of zipped compartments, some with organizing pockets (glass case(s), ear buds/case) and a soft fleece lining to coddle your stuff.

- A simple, plastic key-ring holder which is the only one I've *ever* been able to use with one hand.

I was like another reviewer; I really wanted to like this backpack. It has a well-padded section that fits my 13” Dell and a pocket for my ipad with some room to spare. I have a portable hard drive, usually a couple of books, papers, pens, my phone, cords (I am out all day and often need to recharge) and water.

I really like that the straps don’t drag when you grab it by the carry handle at the top. I like the open pocket on the front for things that I just want to access to fast, like my phone, but there is a small zipper pocket at the top back for your phone if you want it to be more secure. I like the small zipper pocket at the bottom where I can put my cords, so they are out of the way.

I just don’t like that the second section is just that a big black hole of a pocket that things can get lost in, like me hard drive and I have to fish around for it. It is barely big enough for two smaller books and I often have large books. Books and papers will barely fit into the backpack when I have my computer and ipad in it too.

This backpack is just not big enough for what I need; a full day of school far away from home and it doesn’t have enough organization within the one space that is left. Not the backpack for my daily use, but okay if I don't have lots of books and papers
to take to class.

Just Got mine in today and I love it. The red color is actually more vivid in person, It definitely has more space than you think. i managed to fit some large headphones (aduio technica m50), a DSLR camera with a lens (Canon T3i), a small tablet, a medium text book & spiral notebook, my mp3 player and phone, and an extremely old thick 15.6 laptop into the backpack. It still had plenty of pocket left over after all of these things where placed inside of it; yet it doesn't look that huge at first glance. I think i'll love this backpack, good purchase, cant beat the price for the Red Griffith Park Daypack at only around $16.00

I've upped from 4 to 5 stars after using this backpack as my only commuter on a daily basis for the last 4 months. Really can hold up a ton of stuff for you, and also get quite compact on a crowded bus. Very comfy back and straps.

Good value, but the top handle is not placed at the top, but forward, just behind the top of the shoulder straps, making your hand hunt for it.
It's also too thin, and feels like it will break under normal use. It does have a decent leather feel, though.
Zippers are good, which is not always a given for lower-cost packs.
It also carries a bit off the back, more than many competitors in same price range.

Great backpack for travelling, carrying stuff to and from work, and trips to the beach. I love the red color. It stands out unlike any bag I've owned in the past.

I really like all the interior space. There's a great protective laptop sleeve that holds my 13" MacBook comfortably. It also has space for my Nexus 7 tablet, my gym clothes and a lot more.

I highly recommend this bag.

Color: Black Vine Customer Review of Free Product ( What's this? )
This is a very nice lightweight option for small laptops. It's not necessary something that will stand up to much endurance. I could actually put my laptop in a protective sleeve and be pretty liberal about tossing my previous backpack onto my car seat before but since this product is made of thinner material, I have to be very careful with it. There are a lot more hidden pockets and storage places on this pack than I thought there would be, which is nice to storing an array of accessories (just remember where you put it). If I have big textbooks, I find it is easier just to carry them, so that is perhaps the biggest drawback here. The price is a little bit higher than I would pay for this type of product, but I trust the name Case Logic so I know I will get good mileage out of it.
