I bought this bag 2 months ago and was really pleased with the size and quality of it. The zippers are nice and there is plenty of storage for my laptop, papers and other items. Today I threw it over my shoulder and the shoulder strap pulled out of the bag. The stitching is very minimal at this important stress point. Consequently I can not recommend this bag.

Structurally unsound

Nice enough case, and very nice for the price. But the ring on the case that attaches to the clip of the shoulder strap ripped out under normal use (pulled the fabric strap right out of its stitching). Laptop and all, splat on the hard floor of the Atlanta Airport transportation mall. Of what value is a nice case architecture, when the construction can't hold what one might normally put in it? Looks like a turn-key design - made to look like what it is supposed to be, not actually be it.

This carry case is a nice way to carry your laptop on a trip. It has plenty of room, is light weight, and easy to carry. I was able to fit all my accessories in it. It includes a nice storage compartment that fits an i-pad, kindle or similar device. I have my travel charger and my headphones in as well. Finally it has a compartment where you can put file folders, a magazine or two, or other thinner item of that size. Excellent case!

Useful, sturdy, lightweight and economical

Finding the "right case" as a road warrior is very tricky. The ideal computer/lap bag would be indestructible while weighing next to nothing and protecting your computer and other equipment from dust, spills, and drops. Also (since I take mine to court), it needs to look pretty good. I've used Case Logic bags for years, and almost always found their products of high quality while economical. I have a Microsoft Surface Pro tablet computer that fits into a great protective sleeve I purchased online at sfbags.com, by which it's padded and dustproof and spill proof. It fits easily inside the computer pocket made to accommodate a much larger laptop. Inside the notebook area, there's a small padded pocket which holds my Kindle HD 7" screen, with room for a about a half-inch thick legal folder in the file pocket. Another large zippered "full-size" area holds my extra-large "cocoon" (highly recommended) with cables, batteries, digital recorder, and small Nikon camera, and finally a smaller zippered section holds pens, cell phone, sunglasses, Ipod, headphones, and pens and notepaper. There is a zipper section in the flap to the small section which holds a small "cocoon" with some more cables and chargers. In other words, I can go to court or hit the road with this one bag, and it holds everything I'm likely to need except my water bottles. With the client files in a leather "red-rope" folio, I have everything I'm likely to need in court.

The bag is well constructed, of a fairly heavy ballistic nylon, with good quality zippers, a nice padded handle (because with all of the above stuff, my guess is that it comes in around 20 lbs) and a removable shoulder strap.Read more ›

good, could be sturdier

It's a good bag with plenty of storage. I like the padding, and the smaller pockets all over for it.
I rate it a bit lower because of the shoulder strap loop on 1 side is ripping the case lining is ripping there too. But the top carry handle is super sturdy. I'd recommend buying it, but just not carrying too much in it with the shoulder strap.

Great! I love how the dual compartment was helpful in me sorting my books from my laptop computer. I also like how there's still 2 mini compartments in front as well as the adjustable straps.
