While the headset is not a "name brand" headset, it has some of the best sound quality I have heard out of similarly built headsets. Best comparison to this product id the Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 Headset. I purchased this item and subsequently received this item within the week. Microphone does not pick up too much background noise, due to the fact that it has a low range. The connections to PC are 2-cord (Audio/Mic), not USB. The headband may not be very comfortable compared to related headsets, but for the price you can get these for, you most certainly get more than what it is worth.

I do PC gaming a fair bit, so i wanted a headset with a mic and good sound with comfortable ear-pads. These head sets worked well but i'm never buying frisby again. When i do reviews i try to be as detailed as possible, so just to warn you this will be very detailed. OK here's what i think:

Design:
Pros)
1. The ear-pads on this were very comfortable.
2. The Plastic is very tough and would not break, although it is plastic. (my brother even stepped on it)

Cons)
1. After an hour of usage they would begin to chafe my ear a bit.
2. The headset is NOT adjustable.
3. The chord is way too long for any usage, they could easily shorten 2 feet and not have any length issues.
4. The jack connection is very weak, and eventually (a week)after buying it i had to wiggle the end around in the plug to get any sound, even then it usually only cam from one ear.
5. The Mic is way to loose and will end up sliding down after a bit (20min) of usage.
6. The volume slider on the chord was very cheap, it would work only occasionally and was very in accurate. It was a "Slider" but it would only let you stop the sound at 7 levels.

Sound:
Pros) 1. The sound quality was surprisingly good, especially from a $15 headset.

Cons) 1. Sound would fade occasionally at odd points.
2. The right ear was a bit louder at all times then the left, i talked to other and they had this problem to, so it was not just isolated.

Mic:
Pros)
1. NONE

Cons)
1. The mic was worse quality than a $2 mic i picked up at dollar tree for my 7 year old brother.
2. The mic would not hold a consistent volume, so while talking it would max out then become silent, then back to "normal".

So overall, i would say avoid, there are much better headsets out there for $15.

The quality of the sound in these headphones is good. However, the left earphone (the one with the microphone attached) is FAR quieter than the other side. I don't know if it is supposed to be this way but I don't like it. I can barely hear anything out of the side with the microphone. I have switched the headphones around and tried it on both sides of my head and the side with the microphone is always probably about 1/3 as loud as the other side. This really bothers me. The side without the microphone basically drowns out the other side and it sounds like only one of the sides works.

Basically, I think I just wasted 15 bucks

I have owned these headphones for 2 months now, and both the microphone and insulated headset work great! I've used the microphone for recording videos on Youtube, and it picks up my guitar and voice clearly. So far so good, no complaints!

Given the inexpensive price, it does a great job with talking online with programs such as Skype and Ovoo. Don't dismiss it just because of the low price, it really is a great value!

When they say you get what you pay for you really do. They are comfortable and thats pretty much what I bought them for since the tiny ones were too big to go in my ears I had to go huge. Only problem with this is...it could be a little louder, other than that I was pleased considering the price I got it for.

Unless you just have to have Bose or similar this is a great choice for those of us who can't justify $100 or more for a headset. It's comfortable and works as it should. Noise cancellation quality is pretty decent and the microphone is sensitive. The mic is also sturdy, goes where you want and stays there. I would recommend these headphones highly.
