I purchased this hoping to become more mobile with my laptop. It is okay. I am wearing it while I write this review.

Pros: Yes, I can attach the straps and carry around my laptop. The board is not plastic as stated in another review. The cushioning is attached to the board with velcro in each corner.

Problems: The straps become uncomfortable after a while. The laptop is held a little too close to my body. Let's just say it is not designed for humans with breasts. I must type with my wrists right next to my belly. My neck is sore from looking down and I can feel it in my shoulders. My Dell laptop has mouse buttons on the edge and my body accidentally pushes them occasionally as I move, leading to unwanted mouse movement and clicks. My laptop fills the entire board. I often use an external hard drive and it does not fit anywhere on the device. It is awkward to put on and take off but it can be done.

I have kept it and make use of it. Perhaps it will become easier to use with more practice.

I recently purchased this for work where I need to walk large buildings with my laptop. It does make carrying the laptop much easier! I am a little concerned about the laptop falling off. There is an adjustable "safety strap" but the recommended position doesn't seem to support much and if any weight is applied to the strap, it starts to open (it is a strip of velcro that wraps around the harness strap). In addition, my stomach feels bruised from the board and laptop pushing into it! I'm not sure if one of the other reviews on here had a different model, but mine is a plastic board with a thin sheet of padding/no-slip material for the laptop to sit on.

I am going to try and fashion a soft pad to go between my stomach and the harness for comfort and an additional strap to strap the laptop to the board. This is what I think the product needs to come with.

One side note, this is sized perfectly for my older laptop, but modern widescreen laptops would push against the side straps.

I was not expecting too much from the harness but was tired of trying to carry my laptop while doing wifi surveys. I have a 17" laptop and the ends of the laptop hung over the base of the harness, but once it was adjusted correctly it held the laptop. It did take some time to get used to the harness and not feel like the laptop was going to slip out. I have used it now for an hour at a time, many times now, and I never would have been able to do that holding the laptop in my hand.

For the price of this product, the quality should have been much better. That being said, it has held up and really makes life easier. I'm a wireless network engineer and doing survey work means walking around with a laptop for 12+ hours a day. That can get pretty brutal and this takes the pain out of the process.

Well, this was exactly what I was imagining, and knew HAD to exist...incredibly, there's only one other brand, which looked possibly even better than this, but for some reason is limited to certain specific computer models. So this was it! I figured there had to be a simple way to make laptops truly portable, so that you weren't stuck in one spot while using them. Brilliant invention! (Soon as I finally get an iPhone, I'm going to attach a fold-up keyboard--maybe a mouse if I can--and put it on this thing, like the lightest laptop there is!)

I enjoy this nifty little thing...mainly, I use it to walk on the the treadmill, because multitasking is ever so important to me. If I can do more than one thing at a time, I do. No reason you can't get more exercise while reading, writing, etc.! Yes, there's a lip on the console that can hold papers, books, and laptops, but in the interest of keeping this brand-new machine in perfect condition, I didn't feel like tilting it into that thing and having it rest against the vibrating console. Not that that's harmful, but eh, I just didn't want to do it anymore. Plus, as mentioned, I sought true portability!

It's well-made, and I've not yet felt any danger of it breaking or failing. The rubber surface Velcroed across the desk does a good job of keeping the computer in place. You adjust the straps to get the right fit/tautness, height, and angle for your maximum comfort--preferably with the desk empty.
Of course it's also great for holding books or paper and clipboards so you can stand/walk and write without finding something on which to set the paper, or awkwardly using your hand. Pretty much anything you'd need to carry around in your hands to use, indoors or out, can be placed upon it for greatly increased convenience.

I can't believe how awesome this mobile desk is. Not only do I get to walk and work where ever I am, I have found it to increase my sex appeal. I often come out of the bathroom at work or the mall after using it in the stall, keeping up to date on youtube videos, and I can't count the number of times that an attractive woman has stopped me to ask where I got such a useful and flattering accoutrement. Invariably, they see the youtube video of the LOLcats and we strike up a conversation that can last an hour. The reason that I can take these long breaks is because the mobile desk goes with me everywhere I can get my work done throughout the day. I do have one complaint. I have found it to be a little troubling when walking on the city streets because I'm often detracted by some feline hijinks that I don't see the 'No Walking' signs. I have made it onto the hood of a Buick or two. I have learned to listen for the visually impaired walk signals and they act as a pavlovian cue to meander about my way. I have found that I can maximize my reality and virtual reality and create an augmented reality world of which I am currently going through the patent process. So men in a serious relationship, order with care because your significant other might not like the attention you get with this head-turning piece of equipment and it is a whole lot cheaper than a new Lamborghini Aventador.
