Quiet and Running Great so Far

I have a G50V and the fan was dying so I picked this up as a replacement and it's working out well. I really didn't do any measurements so I can't compare it with the stock fan temp wise but my PC's been running fine and the fan is nice and quiet.

I will say the installation process is fairly involved but there wasn't any step that was really difficult you just have to be prepared. You have to remove the cooling duct from your processor so you need thermal compound for when you put it back together which they have as a suggested item for this fan and I used some high concentration rubbing alcohol wipes (so it doesn't have lint) to clean the processors and plates when you remove the old stuff. I actually had some of this for cleaning my elliptical but they have them at Walgreens and I'm sure here. It's also worth it to look at the instructions for the thermal compound you buy. I had to go to a website but it had a lot of good information on how much to use for each type of processor and how to clean off the old gunk.

This works great. It was easy to install if you've worked on laptops before. Yes.. you have to use a mini screw driver and make sure to order the good thermal grease so you can apply it to save time. I wish I would have done that before so I didn't need to disassemble the bottom of the laptop again.

Great upgrade for ASUS G50VT!!

Combined with Arctic MX4 thermal paste, this fan dropped the temps in my ASUS G50VT from about 240 degrees F, to about 150 degrees F. I changed out the old lower amperage fan with this one, easy swap out, it fits in the original heat pipe holder exactly as the stock one did.
