Smell would NOT go away

At first I thought folks were exaggerating about the smell. However, the one I received had a such a strong smell I had to get it out of my apartment. I left it outside for THREE weeks. Even turned it inside out from time to time. Went to use it this past weekend and it still smelled terribly. It could be smelled from inside my tote. I was even asked what that smell was coming from my tote in a class. I threw it out. Since it had gotten a bit dirty being outside, I didn't try and return it. What a waste.
So, those of us who have gotten ones that smell are not exaggerating.

Awesome Case

I really love this case! Delivery was prompt, and the box that it arrived in was just the right size.

The case itself is absolutely adorable, the pig is large and bright. I was surprised that there is a pig on both sides. I was actually slightly concerned that one side of the case would be plain, but that was not the case. I get tons of complements, and people always laugh at the adorable cartoon.

What I especially love about this case is that it fits over my 13 inch macbook, even though I have a relatively thick plastic shell already on it. I wanted an additional soft case to protect my laptop when I am running all over campus to classes and meetings, and this case does that job beautifully.

It is a great value, and this case is definitely a purchase that I am happy about. The one downside to this case is that it gets dirty quite easily-I think that is the nature of the fabric. Fortunately, it is also easy to clean. I have just used cold water, and maybe a little soap to clean off some of the dirt/spots that get on it-of course not when my laptop is inside.

A great choice as far as a purchase, I haven't regretted it!

Air it out before you use it. Great case otherwise.

It's a neoprene sleeve. It WILL smell when you first take it out of the packaging. If you're lucky, it won't smell so strong, but it you're not, you'll want to let it air out for a while before you use it. I got a different sleeve for my sister that didn't smell much at all, but mine did. I just sprayed some fabric freshener on it and let it air out. Also, I ordered it a good month before I actually got my laptop, so it had plenty of time to air out before I actually started using it. (Don't worry, it won't take anywhere near a whole month to air out, I just like to be prepared).

The sleeve does not come with a carrying strap, but it does come with rings so you can hook a strap onto it. Keep that in mind.

The sleeve looks just like it does in the picture, and it's very cute. The inside is bright yellow (like, highlighter yellow), which is a nice touch. I ordered this size case based on the dimensions of the laptop I was getting, NOT the screen size (because a 15" widescreen laptop may not fit the same as a regular 15" laptop, which won't fit the same as a 15" laptop that has a wide bezel around the screen). The width is perfect, but when the laptop is in the sleeve there's about an extra inch or two of space between the top of the laptop and the top of the sleeve. This isn't bad, though, and usually you want to have a little extra space in your sleeve so you don't have to worry about the zipper rubbing against your laptop, or the case having to stretch to fit around the laptop (also, for college students, if you want to just slide your regular old paper notebook in there too and go to class without a big bag). The extra space certainly doesn't make me feel less secure about having my laptop in there.Read more ›

What can i say, it fits HP DV7 17.3 Widescreen nicely. Not to Tight, not to loose. Not tested with Hp new battery design, i have a older hp DV7.

Design- Nice, Should offer solid colors for those who work in dirty areas.Who prefer Dark colors not light ones.

I love this sleeve! It's thick enough to be nice and protective(maybe not as a separate bag as the loops on the outside allow) but to be in my backpack to and from classes, it's great! The design is adorable and the inside is super bright yellow. I'm talking high lighter yellow. WHich I love! It gives it character. I use my laptop for script writing and novel writing, so this is perfect. I love its character.
Also, I didn't detect any bad "smell" that others have mentioned.

This works well as I'm sure any other sleeve would since the material is all pretty much the same.
